Adams Catches Mokri

Timothy Adams opened 3,500 in early position and both Kayhan Mokri next to act and Felipe Ketzer in the big blind made the call.

The A♦K♠9♣ flop hit the felt, and the action checked to Mokri who tossed a bet of 4,000 across the line. Ketzer folded, and Adams made the call.

The 10♥ turn was checked through to see the A♥ on the river. Adams checked once more before Mokri bet 11,500. Adams took his time before eventually making the call. Mokri tabled 7♣6♣, and Adams took down the pot with K♣8♣.

Adams Gets a Fold to Earn Another Boost

Timothy Adams came back from break on a short stack but has won the first two significant pots to earn a much-needed boost.

Adams raised to 3,500 from under the gun and was called by Sam Grafton on the button, as well as Jean-Noel Thorel in the big blind.

All three players checked the 7♦4♣J♦ flop and the Q♠ fell on the turn. Adams this time fired out 8,500 and only Grafton called.

The river came the 3♦ and Adams led out for another 23,000. Grafton quickly gave up his hand.

Jean-Noel Thorel raised 3,500 in the cutoff, and Kayhan Mokri called in the small blind, as did Alejandro Lococo in the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of K♠5♠5♦, and all three players checked to see the 10♠ turn.

Mokri checked before Lococo fired a bet of 6,000 and only Thorel made the call.

The 9♦ completed the board, and Lococo check-called a bet of 7,000. Thorel tossed his 5♣4♣ on its back showing flopped trip fives, and Lococo pitched his cards into the muck.

Yan Gets Paid on the River; O'Dwyer Shoves

Timothy Adams raised to 3,500 from under the gun and received calls by David Yan in the cutoff and big blind Jean-Noel Thorel.

The flop came Q♠2♣10♥ and Adams continued for 4,000. Both opponents called and the A♠ fell on the turn.

Action then checked to Yan who bet 16,500, with only Thorel calling to the 3♠ river. Yan then bet another 25,000 and Thorel quickly called. Yan turned over A♣Q♦ for two pair and Thorel mucked.

A hand earlier, Kayhan Mokri had opened to 3,500 from early position before Steve O'Dwyer in the cutoff became the first player today to utter the phrase "all in," moving his last 25,000 in the middle. Mokri quickly folded.

Ketzer then checked and Adams bet 7,500. Ketzer called, then checked again on the 7♠ river. Adams used a time bank chip before he bet another 25,000, and Ketzer snap-folded.

The K♠ completed the board on the river, and Adams checked to Mokri who put out a bet of 10,500. Adams took a few moments before check-raising to 37,000. Mokri sighed before eventually putting in the call to see the bad news as Adams tabled 9♣8♠ for top two pair on the flop and Mokri mucked his hand.
