Bogdan Berinde opened in late position to 40,000 and got called in the big blind by Victoria Livschitz.

The J♠5♥10♦ flop was checked over to Berinde who continued for 30,000. Livschitz called.

The 2♥ landed on the turn and Livschitz checked again. Berinde sized up to 65,000 and action was back on Livschitz, who went into the tank. After about a minute she announced she was all in and Berinde snap-called.

It appeared that Berinde's aces had been cooled off until the dealer burned and turned the A♥ river. Berinde scooped a pile of chips and Livschitz hit the rail after being on the wrong side of a cold deck.

Recent EPT Barcelona champion Simon Wiciak, who happens to be seated right next to 2022 EPT London champ Ian Hamilton, opened to 40,000 from the hijack and David Kaufmann defended out of the big blind.

Kaufmann checked on the flop of 9♠5♣K♣ and Wiciak continued for 50,000. Kaufmann didn't want to tangle with the recent EPT champion and laid it down.
