Sellam Pulls Check-Raise Bluff

Daisuke Ogita opened the action to 2,500,000 on the button with K♣8♣ and only Rubens Sellam made the call from the big blind with J♠8♠.

On the flop of K♦Q♣6♥ Sellam checked to Ogita who continued for 1,800,000. Sellam pondered for a moment before announcing raise to 7,000,000 and Ogita went deep in the tank.

After over a minute of thought the clock was called on Ogita and he had 30 seconds to act on his hand. Within a few seconds of his hand being declared dead, Ogita folded his top pair and the pot was sent to Sellam.

The dealer put out the flop of 9♥6♥5♠ and Ogita led out for 1,300,000. Patka took a few seconds before moving all in for 9,300,000 with his straight draw and Ogita quickly let his cards go.

The flop came A♥10♦8♣ and Patka continued his aggression with a bet of 1,125,000. Sellam took his time before tossing in chips for the call and the pair saw the 6♥ turn.

Patka continued his story with a bet of 5,000,000 and Sellam quickly announced raise to an a amount of 11,500,000. Patka waved the white flag and tossed his cards into the muck. Sellam collected the pot and jumped into the chip lead position.

Patka Picks Off Check-Raise River Bluff From Ogita

The flop fanned out K♦8♥6♥ and Ogita quickly led out for a large size of 2,000,000. Patka took a moment before making the call with his top pair and flush draw.

The J♠ hit the turn and Ogita slowed down with a check over to Patka who checked back. The K♣ completed the board and Ogita tapped the table over to Patka who assembled a bet of 3,000,000.

Ogita took a few seconds before sliding in a check-raise bluff to 8,500,000 and Patka went deep in the tank. After close to a minute of thought, Patka put in the chips for a call and took down the massive pot from Ogita to regain the chip lead.
