Leading the pack is Spain's Adrian Chabbi with 513,000, while Germany's Leon Sturm and France's Francois Vincenti are not far behind with respective stacks of 438,000 and 406,000.

Also in the top 10 end-of-day chip counts are Norway's Jon Kyte (339,000) and the United Kingdom's Conor Beresford (314,000), who brought the day to an end when he eliminated Mathieu His on the stone money bubble.

Other notables who found bags include Tom Orpaz, Jason Wheeler, Jessica Teusl, Antoine Saout, Ana Marquez and Vicente Delgado, all of whom will return for Day 2 on April 28.

Beresford Eliminates His on Bubble to End Day 1a

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Peter Jorgne was all in and at risk on the stone money bubble against Maher Achour, who had him covered. As it turned out, both players had the same hand with Jorgne holding K9 and Achour holding K9 to result in a split pot.

At another table, Mathieu His was all in and at risk against Conor Beresford to his immediate right.

Mathieu His: AQ
Conor Beresford: 1010

His couldn't pull ahead in the flip as the board ran out J9365 as the room erupted in cheer as the money bubble burst.

Stay tuned for a full recap of the day's action.
