Abuladze Picks the Wrong Person to Bluff

Georgi Abuladze and Mikhail Nikolaev were heads-up in a pot with around 60,000 in the middle. The board read 543K and Nikolaev tossed in a bet of 28,000 on the button. Abuladze called and the 7 peeled off on the river.

Abuladze checked and Nikolaev slid out a stack of 120,000. Abuladze went into the tank and the clock was called but he eventually made the call. Nikolaev tabled J8 for air while Abuladze made a good call with A5 to become one of the leaders.

Sandro Runs Into Aces

Rovella Sandro raised it up from early position and the action folded to Chakib Mhiri in the big blind. Mhiri announced all in and Sandro never hesitated before calling off his stack of 104,000.

The flop came A85 and Mhiri all but locked up the pot with a set of aces. The 6 on the turn sealed the deal and the 5 on the river was just a formality.

Guimond Surges With a Straight

Action was heads up with a full board of A71086 and a big pot in the middle that looked to be near 150,000. Tsugunari Toma checked from the small blind and called when Florian Guimond bet 100,000 from the big blind.

Guimond turned over J9 for the straight and Toma tossed the losing hand in the muck.

Pu Pressures Vuckovic on the River

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action was heads up with over 75,000 in the middle and K28A on the board when Weiran Pu bet 35,000 from middle position and Alexander Vuckovic called from the button.

The river was Q and Pu tossed out 65,000. Vuckovic went into the tank to consider his options but ultimately it was too much for him and he tossed his hand in the muck.

Gil Finds an Unorthodox Check-Raise for Value

There was around 100,000 in the pot already with Azzedine Mehal and Abraham Gil heads-up. The board read A32K and Mehal had a bet of 32,000 in front of him on the button. Gil check-raised the minimum to 64,000 and Mehal tanked for a minute before calling.

Gil opted to check blind before the Q hit the felt and Mehal announced a five. He then checked and announced "five" once more. Gil flipped over 1010 and that turned out to be the best hand as Mehal mucked his cards.

Nakdali Bets, Bohdanov Folds

Renat Bohdanov raised to 10,000 from under the gun and action folded all the way around to Yaman Nakdali for a call from the big blind.

The flop was 7QJ and Nakdali check-called a 8,000 bet from Bohdanov to see J on the turn.

Both players checked the turn and the river was Q. Nakdali fired 30,000 but it was too much for Bohdanov and he tossed his hand in the muck.
