Calderone Turns Straight and Gets Paid On River

Eros Calderone raised to 3,000 from early position and got reraised by Pieter Aerts from the big blind. Calderone called and the flop came {10-Clubs}{k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Aerts continued with a bet of 8,500 and Calderone called.

The turn came the {9-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river was the {q-Spades} and Aerts checked again. Calderone bet out for 25,000 and Aerts called.

Calderone showed {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the straight and Aerts mucked his hand.

Erik Seidel opened to 3,500 in middle position and Ramzi Karam called on the button to get things heads-up.

Seidel continued for 4,000 on the {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop and Karam called. Seidel then sized up to 13,000 on the {6-Spades} turn and Karam laid it down to earn the Poker Hall of Famer the pot.

On the {j-Hearts} turn, the Frenchman led out for 9,000 and was quickly called. Guilbert then used up a time bank before firing another 10,500 on the {9-Hearts} river. Rezaei then opted to use a time bank of his own before calling.

Guilbert tabled his {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a king-high straight. Rezaei flashed his {j-Clubs} before mucking.

Diogo Coelho raised to 3,000. He was called by Oliver Bithell and Victoria Livschitz in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Livschitz checked, Coelho checked and Bithell bet out for 3,500. Livschitz folded and Coelho called. The turn was the {3-Hearts}. Coelho checked and Bithell bet out again for 17,000, which Coelho once again called.

The river came the {5-Clubs} and both players checked to showdown. Coelho showed {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Bithell showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Both players had king high and Bithell's kicker played to win him the pot.

Brandstrom Runs Into Queens

Stephen Song opened to 3,000 from the hijack and Simon Brandstrom three-bet jammed a short stack from the cutoff before Jimmy Saft re-shoved in the small blind. Song got out of the way.

"Always a sweat!" Saft said in relief.

Jacob Amsellem made it 3,000 from early position before Stephen Chidwick made it 8,500 on his direct left. Sungho Hong called from the hijack and Amsellem.

Chidwick continued for 6,000 on the {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop and won the pot uncontested.
