Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 800 ante
Adi Rajkovic
Adi Rajkovic

Andre Marques opened from the cutoff before Adi Rajkovic three-bet to 8,000 from the small blind. Marques called.

Rajkovic continued for 10,000, leaving 15,200 behind on the {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop. Marques then jammed as the bigger stack and Rajkovic called

Adi Rajkovic: {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Andre Marques: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Marques had an open-ended straight draw and nailed it on the {q-Hearts} turn. Rajkovic needed to boat up to stay alive but the {6-Spades} sealed his unfortunate fate.

Kanit Pays Off Galindo

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 800 ante

Humberto Lopes Galindo was on the button and heads up with Mustapha Kanit in the big blind. There was 12,000 in the middle with the board reading {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. Kanit checked to Galindo who made a small bet of 1,300 and Kanit called.

The river was the {7-Spades} and the two players quickly got all of their chips in the middle with Galindo being the one at risk for 23,700. Kanit turned over {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for trip aces but Galindo held {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for a full house to double up.

Veldhuis' Slow Play Key to Victory

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,000 ante
Lex Veldhuis
Lex Veldhuis

Lex Veldhuis and Junhyoung Ki were battling for a pot worth more than 25,000 on the turn. The board read {9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Veldhuis checked from early position. Ki bombed 20,000 chips into the middle from the cutoff which Veldhuis called after a little thinking time.

The river came {7-Hearts}, Veldhuis checked again, and Ki snap-checked behind. Veldhuis revealed he had been slow playing the turn with {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}, leading to Ki mucking his cards and Veldhuis raking in this sizeable pot.

Dream Spot for Sadeghpourfard

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,000 ante

[Removed:449] opened from under the gun before Junhyoung Ki three-bet to 9,000 from middle position. Lyudmil Ivanov then jammed for around 37,000 from the small blind. Sadeghpourfard then ripped in his stack of 101,800 and after going through the blender, Ki made the call as the superior stack.

Lyudmil Ivanov: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
[Removed:449]: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Junhyoung Ki: {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Sadeghpourfard was ahead on the {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, however, the {2-Clubs} turn gave Ki a flush draw as well as his trips and two pair outs. The {8-Spades} completed the board and Sadeghpourfard collected the biggest pot of the day so far.

Martin Kabrhel just took a seat to the right of Thomas Muehloecker and was trying to convince the table to start straddling, or blind raising in a tournament. James Lee wouldn't comply but opted to shove all in for around 17,000 from under the gun instead. The action folded around to Thomas Muehloecker in the big blind who called.

James Lee: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Thomas Muehloecker: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Muehloecker's pair of sevens held on to eliminate Lee. On the next hand, Philippe Souki put out the 2,400 "straddle' but folded to a raise.

Next up was Benjamin Lebor who was confused at was taking place. He just followed instructions and put the 2,400 on and the action proceeded.
