Couple of Double-Ups on the Bubble

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Rehman Kassam & Nikita Kuznetcov
Rehman Kassam & Nikita Kuznetcov

The field has seen a few all-in and call announcements thus far, all of which have resulted in the all-in player doubling up.

On Table 1, Milos Petakovic was all in against Humberto Lopes Galindo for 29,000 chips.

Milos Petakovic: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Humberto Lopes Galindo: {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out a harmless {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Petakovic doubled up.

On Table 6, former big stack Nikita Kuznetsov was all in against Rehman Kassam for 16,000 chips.

Nikita Kuznetsov: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Rehman Kassam: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The aces held for Kuznetsov as the board was {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and another double-up was to be had.

Armougom Falls Short on the Bubble

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jimmy Armougom
Jimmy Armougom

The action folded to Gerard Cortes in the hijack who shoved all in as the big stack. Jimmy Armougom was forced all in for 6,000 in the big blind and the cards were tabled.

Jimmy Armougom: {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Gerard Cortes: {k-Spades}{8-Spades}

Armougom was happy with two live cards but the flop of {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades} left him drawing slim after Cortes hit a pair of kings. The {j-Diamonds} on the turn provided some chop outs but the {8-Diamonds} on the river sent Armougom to the rail on the money bubble. The rest of the field has now guaranteed themselves a min-cash of at least €3,100.

Kim and Niederreiter Chop Up Bithell's Bounty

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Oliver Bithell was forced all in from the big blind so Fabian Niederreiter made it 50,000 from under the gun and picked up a call from Namhyung Kim on the button.

Niederreiter jammed as the big stack on the {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop and Kim called.

Oliver Bithell: {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Namhyung Kim: {9-Spades}{7-Spades}
Fabian Niederreiter: {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Neiderreiter and Kim both had a pair of sevens but the former had a superior kicker. However, the board ranout with the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, which resulted in a chopped pot between Kim and Niederreiter.

Suliman Flips for a Double

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

After a couple of preflop raises, Or Suliman and Giedrius Breive got all of their chips in the middle with Suliman at risk for 178,000. The cards were face up and the two players were off to the races.

Or Suliman: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Giedrius Breive: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The flop of {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} left Suliman in the lead with his pair of jacks. The {4-Spades} and {8-Spades} runout changed nothing and Suliman scored a healthy double-up.

Veldhuis Gets a Double

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Lex Veldhuis
Lex Veldhuis

Lex Veldhuis was down to 65,000 chips and he put them all in from the button after a cutoff raise from Lander Lijo. The rest of the table folded and Lijo made the call after approximating Veldhuis' stack.

Lex Veldhuis: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Lander Lijo: {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

A flip to win for Veldhuis, which he did on {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, rivering a set to lock up the pot. Lijo was left with the exact amount Veldhuis pushed into the pot.

Sevens, Eights, Nines

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Luc Bindel shoved all in with the shortest stack of around 60,000 and Kenny Deffrasnes reshoved all in on his left. Alexandre Hocquaux also put the last of his 80,000 chips in the middle and all three hands were tabled.

Luc Bindel: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Kenny Deffrasnes: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Alexandre Hocquaux: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

A clean board of {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Diamonds} was spread across the felt and Bindel managed to triple up. Deffrasnes collected Hocquaux's bounty, who bowed out with the smallest of the three pairs.

Souria Doubles Dominguez, Busts Shortly After

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Benjamin Souria opened the action by putting all of his 108,000 chips in from middle position. Small blind Jose Ruiz Dominguez called and after a count, it turned out to be for less than Souria's stack, namely 99,000. The big blind folded and the two players' cards were tabled.

Jose Ruiz Dominguez: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Benjamin Souria: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

A tall task for Souria's ace-jack. After he flopped some hope on {10-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Spades}, the {9-Clubs} turn and {5-Clubs} river ultimately disappointed him, doubling Dominguez.

Souria was left with only 16,000 chips, which were automatically all-in from the big blind a few hands later. He got heads-up versus Xia Wang, but his {7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} could not beat the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} of Wang on the board of {2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, forcing his exit from the tournament.

Ben Haim Spins Up a Stack; Shohet Eliminated

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Gabriel Shohet
Gabriel Shohet

Marvin Ben Haim was all in as the short stack just a few hands ago but managed to triple up and then double up into a stack of more than 200,000 chips.

After Day 1 chip leader Gabriel Shohet was moved to the table, he got the last of his chips in the middle along with Aleksandr Shevliakov. Ben Haim had both players covered and called.

Aleksandr Shevliakov: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Gabriel Shohet: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Marvin Ben Haim: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Ben Haim took the lead with the best pair of kings on the flop. The {10-Hearts} and {6-Spades} runout changed nothing and Ben Haim scored the double knockout.
