Rieux Eliminates Two With a Set of Queens

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Renato Minicuci opened to 4,000 in middle position and Lionel Rozenberg three-bet jammed a stack of 20,500 from the button. Romain Lefebvre De Rieux then four-bet jammed out of the big blind and Minicuci gave it some thought before calling to put himself at risk.

Lionel Rozenberg: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Renato Minicuci: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Romain Lefebvre De Rieux: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The flop landed {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} to give Rieux a near lock on the hand, but the {5-Hearts} turn gave Rozenberg some hope with a flush draw. The river brought the safe {10-Diamonds} and Rieux scooped the big pot as both opponents hit the rail.

Jullien Outkicks Noske

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Thomas Noske limped in from middle positon and Bruno Fernandes did the same from the hijack. Helene Jullien raised to 10,000 from the button and both of her opponents called.

Noske led out for 38,000 on the {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop. Fernandes folded and then Jullien jammed for 38,000. Noske called.

Helene Jullien: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Thomas Noske: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Both players had a pair of queens but Jullien was ahead with her ace kicker. The {8-Clubs} turn and {3-Spades} river completed the board for Jullien to surpass the 100,000 mark.

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Mathieu Rabalison opened to 4,000 from under the gun before Dorian Decauche three-bet to 12,000 from middle positon. Jerome Hobbe called from the button and Rabalison also decided to see a flop.

The dealer fanned the {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} onto the felt and the action checked through to the {j-Diamonds} turn. Again, the active players checked.

On the {10-Clubs} river, Rabalison bet 16,000 and both of his opponents quickly folded.

Saout Bluffs to Fall to Ivarsson

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Antoine Saout
Antoine Saout

Alexander Ivarsson was in the big blind in a heads-up pot against Antoine Saout in the cutoff on a board of {10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades} with around 65,000 already in the middle.

Ivarsson checked on the river and Saout moved all in for around 49,000. Ivarsson went deep into the tank and made a series of confused faces as he examined the board. After several minutes, he called.

Saout showed a bluff with {a-Spades}{7-Spades} for ace-high and Ivarsson turned over {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for two pair to eliminate the French poker star.

The rest of the table was likely happy with the result as Saout is one of the most accomplished players in the field with $9.3 million in live tournament earnings, including a recent runner-up finish in the EPT Prague Main Event for €800,000.
