Dinner Break

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

The remaining 301 players have been sent on a 75-minute dinner break and will return at approximately 9:45 p.m. They will play three more levels when they return and then will bag for Day 2.

Wild Ride for Haber

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Nicolas Pagnini jammed for 24,000 from the cutoff. Eric Haber then moved all in for 24,700 from the small blind. Johan Girard, in the big blind, folded.

Nicolas Pagnini: {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Eric Haber: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Pagnini paired up on the {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} runout to leave Haber with crumbs.

The next hand, Florian Duta opened to 3,000 from under the gun. Haber put in the last of his chips and Martin Barth called from the big blind. Duta continued for 2,000 on the {q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop and Barth folded.

Eric Haber: {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Florian Duta: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The hand that just hurt Haber had now become his lifeline. He held out to chip up to 4,300 following the {q-}{x-} runout.

Haber, in the cutoff, then made it three consecutive hands in where he moved all in. Girard called from the button.

Eric Haber: {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Johan Girard: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}

Haber hit the {7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop and again held out to survive once more following the {k-Hearts} turn and {a-Spades} river.

However, his wild ride would come to an end a few hands later. Manuel Raby opened to 3,000 from early position and Haber jammed for 12,600. Dragos Trofimov then moved all in for 45,700 to isolate Haber. Raby folded.

Eric Haber: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Dragos Trofimov: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Haber was up against pocket sixes again but this time he couldn't improve against the pocket pair and was ousted after the board ran out with the {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

The Stand Up Does Wonders for Ju

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Samantha Abernathy opened to 3,000 in middle position and Samuel Ju three-bet jammed a micro stack from the big blind. Abernathy called with a bigger stack.

Samuel Ju: {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Samantha Abernathy: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Ju didn't get any help from the {8-Spades}{j-Spades}{q-Clubs} flop or the {j-Clubs} turn and stood up from his seat before the {7-Spades} spiked on the river to keep him alive.

"The stand up!" commented Abernathy.

"I already bought my ticket for tomorrow!" laughed Ju.
