Felix Bleiker
Felix Bleiker

Felix Bleiker tangled with Paul-Adrian Covaciu in a three-bet pot after which he bet the {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades} turn for 4,500 into a pot of 14,000. Covaciu went into the tank for a short while and then elected to fold.

"Good turn," Bleiker grinned as he flashed the cards briefly and only exposed em to his opponent before dropping them into the muck.

Hawkins Chips Back Up

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

On the tail end of a heads-up confrontation between Andrew Hawkins and Sari Maalouf, the completed board showed {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Hawkins bet 4,300 and Maalouf called but quickly mucked upon being shown the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for the top pair and top kicker.

Aceto Escapes From Elimination

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Morgan Aceto
Morgan Aceto

On a heads-up turn of {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs} between Morgan Aceto in the small blind bet and Vadzim Godzdanker called in the cutoff as both players invested 6,500 each to see the {q-Diamonds} on the river. Aceto now checked and Godzdanker pushed forward a stack worth 27,000 to cover Aceto's remaining chips.

The Frenchman tried some table chat to gather information and ultimately folded. "You show, I show?" he inquired and Godzdanker agreed as Aceto revealed his {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. Godzdanker first showed the {q-Hearts} followed by the {10-Diamonds} and Aceto counted his blessings.

"Blank turn and I am out," he added and also confirmed he would have called if the Belorussian had jammed the turn.

Abdessamad Ayyad
Abdessamad Ayyad

Action was three ways with around 10,000 in the middle and {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Spades} on the board when [Removed:432] bet 5,000. Gabriel Chiva raised to 15,000 and Abdessamad Ayyad shoved with slightly less than Chiva's total. [Removed:433] quickly ducked out of the way and Chiva tossed in a chip to call.

Abdessamad Ayyad: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Gabriel Chiva: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}

The board finished up with {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Ayyad's kings held to take the big pot and leave Chiva with just over one big blind. Chiva was seen leaving the tournament area just a few moments later.

Castaignon Chips Up Through Kebe

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Heads-up to the {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} turn, Remi Castaignon called a bet worth 5,000 by Jimmy Kebe and the {3-Diamonds} on the river was then checked through. Castaignon tabled the {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and that won the pot.

"It has been a wild table," Michael Rocco in the two seat added after the showdown was completed.

In the same tournament section is also another well-known Frenchman in Sylvain Loosli, who bet 7,500 on a {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} river into a pot of around 10,000. His opponent folded and Loosli dragged in the pot.

Zerjav Chips Up Through Dragoman

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Blaz Zerjav had already increased his stack right out of the gates and added further chips after a heads-up pot with Daniel Dragoman. It was the latter who check-called a bet of 1,000 on the {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop and then check-raised to 6,500 on the {k-Clubs} turn. Zerjav stuck around to the {5-Spades} river and faced a bet of 3,500.

The Slovenian called and Dragoman sent his cards into the muck, as Zerjav further increased his stack without showdown.
