"Greedy" Banic Only Gets One Street

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Javier Zarco
Javier Zarco

Three ways to the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop, Baho Hosseini and Javier Zarco checked over to initial preflop raiser Ivan Banic, who bet 3,100. Hosseini folded and Zarco called to then check again the {3-Diamonds} on the turn. Banic now fired a bet of 11,000 and Zarco instantly folded.

"Too greedy ... why so much?" the Spaniard exclaimed as Banic silently raked in the pot.

Tajiou Flipped Out by Bindel

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Luc Bindel four-bet jammed and Mounir Tajiou got his chips into the middle, which led to the following coin flip.

Mounir Tajiou: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Luc Bindel: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and that spelled the end for Tajiou, while Bindel bounced back to two times the starting stack.

Lakhdari Eliminated by El Ouahdani Amid Confusion

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Yassine El Ouahdani
Yassine El Ouahdani

There was a small crowd gathering around table 57 and the floor had been called as a {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts} turn had seen Omar Lakhdari grab his entire stack and move it forward, after which the dealer announced all-in.

Yassine El Ouahdani called and that's where the tricky part started. Lakhdari had pushed forward around 18,000 but apparently kept two T-5,000 chips in his palm to cause some commotion. Some tussle back and forth followed with Lakhdari insisting to call a floor who spoke French. Lakhdari had not objected with the all-in by the dealer but argued with the floor anyways before he ultimately committed his entire stack to unleash the following showdown.

Omar Lakhdari: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Yassine El Ouahdani: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The river was the {4-Spades} and that spelled the end for Lakhdari.

Romero Runs into Nines

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Alex Romero
Alex Romero

Alejandro Romero was all in for the last of his small stack and Julius Kettunen was the one to put him at risk. The cards were already turned over and the dealer was ready to go.

Alejandro Romero: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Julius Kettunen: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and the nines held for Kettunen to knock Romero out of the tournament.

Ahoor Forces Ribeiro Fold; Belkhayate Busts Ambraisse

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Action was heads up with 6,000 in the middle and {j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts} on the board when Parham Ahoor fired 1,600 and Carlos Ribeiro called from a couple of seats over. The turn was {9-Clubs} and Ahoor check-called a 3,100 bet from Ribeiro to see {10-Spades} fall on the river. Ahoor fired 7,100 and Ribeiro gave up the pot.

A few tables over, Mostafa Belkhayate and Idris Ambraisse had their cards turned up with {3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{q-Spades}{k-Diamonds} already showing on the board. Belkhayate had {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for a pair of sixes with flush draw, while Ambraisse tabled {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for a pair of Queens and the lead, but he was at risk. The river was {4-Spades} and that completed the flush for Belkhayate to send Ambraisse to the rail.

Lybaert Bounced By Lehoussine

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Bart Lybaert
Bart Lybaert

Over on table one, the cards were already on their backs and Bart Lybaert was all-in with the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}. Karim Lehoussine had that dominated with the {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} and remained ahead on the {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop.

Lybaert took the lead with the {a-Hearts} turn but the {10-Spades} river gave Lehoussine a queen-high straight.

"If you just call, I get it in also," Christophe Fougle told him in French and added that he had let go of pocket nines, which would have flopped a set.
