After his deep run in the €50,000 Super High Roller, Gregoire Auzoux almost immediately jumped into Day 1b of the EPT Paris €5,300 Main Event. Among the more notable hands soon after was a duel with Avy Ifrah in which he overbet the 
river, forcing out his opponent.

Action was heads up with 7,000 in the middle and 
on the board when Shawn Morales checked from the small blind. Hossein Ensan tossed out a T-5,000 chip from the big blind and John Tabago folded on the button. Morales gave it a moment of thought but it wasn't worth it and he gave up the pot.
On a heads-up turn of 
, Omar Del Pino bet 12,000 and Carlos Ribeiro called. The Spaniard then jammed the 
river with the superior stack and Ribeiro immediately had a dry smile on his face. He checked his cards very high so that the table neighbors could see them and mucked.

Mastelotto now bet 30,000 and Losev folded with fewer than half the starting stack behind.
Lex Veldhuis raised to 1,100 and was called only by Michael Sklenicka from one seat over. The 
flop was checked by both players and Veldhuis bet the 
turn for 3,400 with 10,100 behind, picking up a call from Sklenicka.
Both headed to the 
river on which Veldhuis bet 10,000, leaving a single chip behind. Sklenicka called and mucked his
