Vrakas Rivers Set to Eliminate Zuev

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Georgios Vrakas
Georgios Vrakas

Two short stacks sparred at Table 4 as Anatoly Zuev found himself at risk against Georgios Vrakas.

Anatoly Zuev: {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Georgios Vrakas: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Zuev took a big lead in the flip as the flop landed {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{6-Spades} to pair his king and the {a-Diamonds} on the turn didn't change anything. However, the {9-Spades} then peeled off on the river to give Vrakas a set and Zuev was sent to the rail.

Rostyslav Sabishchenko

Ercan Atmaca shoved from early position for 109,000, which was just over 10 big blinds. Rostyslav Sabishchenko reshoved from the button for 175,000. Andreas Klatt called in the big blind and three players flipped their cards for the all in.

Ercan Atmaca: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Guilbert Takes a Bad Beat Before Dinner Break

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Alexandros Kolonias opened to 22,000 under the gun, then Johan Guilbert three-bet to 58,000 two seats to his left. Kolonias only took a few seconds to consider, then moved all in. Guilbert snapped the trap and the hands were tabled:

Johan Guilbert: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Alexandros Kolonias: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Guilbert had his opponent dominated and in bad shape, but the board was not cooperative. Kolonias picked up some chop outs on the {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, then the {9-Hearts} on the turn gave him the lead and was a knife to the heart of Guilbert. Only a king on the river would save him, but the {q-Hearts} fell instead.

Kolonias chipped up to 787,000 just before dinner while Guilbert headed for the payout desk to collect €16,200 for his 78th place finish.
