Book Your Seat in the NAPT Las Vegas Main Event for Just $5.50 on PokerStars

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
NAPT
NAPT

Following the successful return of the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) in Las Vegas last year, PokerStars announced in May that the NAPT will return to Resorts World, Las Vegas, this November for another ten-day poker extravaganza.

The series is highlighted by the NAPT Las Vegas Main Event, which has a $5,300 buy-in. Last year's champion, Sami Bechahed, topped the 1,095-entry field and took home a substantial $268,945.

For those who missed out last year or looking to have a second bite of the cherry, you'll be pleased to know that you can secure your seat in the Main Event for a fraction of the buy-in.

Zapsa Shoves the River

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Thomas Eychenne raised to 4,000 from early position. Samy Dubonnet called from the cutoff and Tudor Zapsa defended his big blind.

All three players checked the AK8 flop to see the 9 come on the turn. Zapsa led out for 5,500, which only Dubonnet called.

The river came the 9 and Zapsa moved all in for the rest of Dubonnet's chips, which amounted to roughly 32,000. After doing some inventory, Dubonnet laid down his hand.

Roman Volkov opened to 4,500 from early position and was called by Barny Boatman on the button and Maria Konnikova in the big blind.

Konnikova checked to Volkov, who continued for 4,000 on the JA7 flop. Boatman folded, but Konnikova called.

The 8 fell on the turn and Konnikova again check-called, this time for a 13,500 bet from Volkov.

Konnikova checked a final time on the 5 river.

"Do you have two pair?" Volkov asked before announcing he was all in for his last 55,000. Konnikova immediately called, having Volkov covered, and tabled 109 for a turned straight.

Volkov showed he held 55 for a rivered set and the rest of his chips were sent over to Konnikova.

Rollercoaster of Emotions as Izquierdo Busts Cuesta

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Mikael Darwich opened 5,000 in the cutoff before Francisco Izquierdo three-bet 17,000 from the small blind. Ignacio Cuesta jammed for roughly 60,000 from the big blind, putting Darwich in the tank. After giving it some thought, he tossed his cards into the muck and Izquierdo made the call.

Ignacio Cuesta: AK All in
Francisco Izquierdo: JJ

It was the classic race as the dealer spread the flop of J102, giving Izquierdo a set of jacks. The Q fell on the turn, improving Cuesta to Broadway as he gained the lead but the J river gave Izquierdo quads, sending Cuesta to the rail.

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jose Nadal opened to 5,500 from middle position and was three-bet to 15,000 by Armin Riedl on the button. Action folded back to Nadal, who called.

Nadal proceeded to check-call bet from Riedl on every street. First for 12,500 on the 31010 flop, then for 23,000 on the K turn, and finally for 85,000 on the 8 river.

Riedl tabled A4 for a busted flush draw and Nadal turned over QQ for queens-up to take down the large pot.
