Sevens Hold for Johansen to Send Two Out

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Denis Grimm was seen all in for 6,900 on the button, while Lars-Magne Johansen and Josep De Ramon put 69,000 each across the line from the blinds.

The dealer spread a flop of 843 and Johansen quickly fired 2,000 across the line, exactly how much De Ramon had left. De Ramon called and all three hands were tabled.

Denis Grimm: A9 All in
Josep De Ramon: AJ All in
Lars-Magne Johansen: 77

Johansen was ahead with his pocket sevens. The 8 turn and 3 river meant both of his opponents were headed to the exit.

Castresana's Snowmen Send Pahl to the Rail

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Martin Pahl stuck his last 6,200 into the middle from early position. Agustín Castresana moved all in himself for roughly 15,000 from the seat next to Pahl. After the rest of the table folded, the cards were revealed.

Martin Pahl: Q7 All in
Agustín Castresana: 88

The flop of 7A3 gave Pahl a pair and flush draw and a lot of outs to stay alive. However, the board ran out 59 and Castresana's pair of eights sent Pahl out of the tournament.

Kubas Gets Respect

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Sebestyen Csoti opened to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Adam Kubas in early position, Alessandro Adinolfo in the cutoff, and Leonardo Burdino in the big blind for a four-way pot.

Action checked to Adinolfo on the 9A2 flop and he bet 4,500. Burdino and Csoti quickly folded and Kubas called.

Both players checked on the 9 turn and Kubas took the initiative with a 10,000 bet after the 3 completed the board.

Adinolfo tanked for some time, but eventually thought better of it and let his hand go to send the pot Kubas' direction.

Jones Shows a Bluff

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The 2023 WSOP Main Event runner-up Steven Jones opened from under the gun and was called by Jeremy Sfalli in the big blind.

Sfalli check-called a 2,100 bet on the 1073 flop.

Sfalli then check-called another bet on the 2 turn, this time for 7,500.

The 3 peeled off on the river. Sfalli checked for a third time and Jones decided to empty the clip as he jammed for 31,000 effective as the slightly covering stack. Sfalli was pained by the decision for his tournament life but he opted to let it go.

Jones cracked a smile as he looked up at the Pokernews team and flashed KQ for a bluff.

He then hugged his opponent in consolation as he explained, "I wouldn't have shown except that he [media] was here."
