In the last hand of the previous level, Majid Alsuwaidi opened to 1,100 from middle position before Clement Michaud three-bet to 3,300 from the hijack. David Martin Carmona cold-called from the button and Alsuwaidi came along to make it a three-way affair.
Michaud continued for 2,700 on the monotone Q♥8♥7♥ flop. Carmona was the only caller.
Michaud checked on the J♦ turn and folded after some thinking time when Carmona moved all in for 7,900.

Action was picked up on the river on a completed board of 9♣2♦2♣A♥Q♣ in a large three-way pot. Michal Wisniewski led for 4,000 from the big blind and was called by Antonio Asaro in early position.
In the cutoff, Juan Oliva decided to jam for 24,000. Wisniewski went deep into the tank as he had to make a decision for his tournament life as the smaller of the stacks. He eventually opted to call all-in while Asaro quickly got out of the way.
Michal Wisniewski: 10♣7♣
Juan Oliva: A♣4♣
It was a cooler situation in which both players rivered a flush and Wisniewski could not get away from his smaller flush as he hit the exit.

The 10♦ peeled off on the turn. The under the gun player quickly jammed for 19,000. Filstein was left with a difficult decision for the majority of his remaining stack, but he decided to put in the call.
Under the gun: A♠5♠
Arik Filstein: K♣10♣
The under the gun player was drawing to just two outs, neither of which came on the 2♠ river as Filstein's great call earned him a massive pot.

Simon Brandstrom: K♠Q♠
Alban Juen: Q♣J♠
The flop of 2♥K♥10♠ gave Brandstrom top pair, but also gave Juen a straight draw. However, the runout of 10♥8♦ was safe for Brandstrom and he doubled up.
