Rogers Flops a Set to Crack Kaladjou's Aces

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Karim Kaladjou opened 2,500 in early postion and received calls from Samir Dahdir in the cutoff, Neil Rogers in the small blind as well as Niall Murray in the big blind.

When the K102 flop hit the felt, Rogers led for 6,000. Murray folded before Kaladjou clicked it to 12,000. Dahdir got out of the way and Rogers announced all-in. Kaladjou had 27,000 total and wasted no time making the call.

Karim Kaladjou: AA All in
Neil Rogers: 1010

Taki Can Only Laugh at the Flop

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Youssef Zereg
Youssef Zereg

In the last hand of the previous level, Youssef Zereg opened to 2,000 from under the gun and was called by Karol Taki from the next seat over. Action folded to Giovanni Grosso in the small blind and he moved all in for around 9,000. Zereg reshoved for 11,800 and Taki, who was the much bigger stack, appeared to make a reluctant call.

Giovanni Grosso: A10All in
Youssef Zereg: A3All in
Karol Taki:107

Grosso had both opponents dominated and looked to be in a good position to triple until Taki made the second-nuts on the J98 flop. Taki could only laugh as the board completed with the 55, which confirmed his double knockout.

Softly Softly Works for Boci

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Totti Arosuo opened to 2,000 in middle position and received a call from Nico De Cleen in the next seat, Ange Besnainou, and Lorenc Boci in the big blind.

The monotone AQ9 flop was checked through.

On the 9 turn, action was checked to Arosuo, who fired out a bet of 2,500, which De Cleen called.

Besnainou folded, but Boci produced a quick check-raise to 5,500, and despite it not being much more, that was enough to convince his opponents of the strength of his hand, and they swiftly folded.

Cangianiello Cracks Borlan's Aces

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Danilo Cangianiello, Dan Borlan, and Bjorn Gergo Kozenkai just got all of their chips in preflop. Borlan had the covering stack and the chance to eliminate two players.

Bjorn Gergo Kozenkai: AK All in
Danilo Cangianiello: QQ All in
Dan Borlan: AA

Borlan had the chance to become one of the chip leaders in the room if his pocket aces could hold up. However, the 84Q flop propelled Cangianello into the lead with a set. The 10 turn provided Kozenkai with a glimmer of hope, but when the 8 hit the river to give Cangianello a full house, Kozankai was eliminated and Borlan was left with virtually just a starting stack.

No Slowing Down for De Necker

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Henning Wendlandt opened 2,400 in early position and Emmanuelle Allory flatted before Pieter De Necker three-bet 8,000 from the small blind. Wendlandt quickly folded, but Allory stuck around with a call.

The dealer spread a flop of 1073, and De Necker continued for 7,000. Allory made the call.

When the K fell on the turn, De Necker dropped 7,500 into the middle. This time that was enough to earn the pot as Allory mucked her hand.

Ghassan Takes From Rappoun

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Morad Rappoun raised under the gun to 3,500. Ibrahim Ghassan called him in middle position and Nicolas Carseles called on the button.

Rappoun fired a continuation-bet of 5,000 on the 972 flop which only Ghassan called.

Rocha Secures Double Knockout

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jason Rocha
Jason Rocha

Scott Martin moved all in from early position for 6,500 and was called by Jason Rocha in the hijack. Action folded to John Catena in the big blind, who three-bet jammed for 25,600. Rocha asked for a count before making the quick call, covering both players.

Scott Martin: 33 All in
John Catena: AK All in
Jason Rocha: 88

Rocha was ahead with pocket eights versus Martin's underpair and Catena's big slick, and had his opponents almost drawing dead after the 826 flop gave him top set.

The Q turn confirmed the pot was heading to Rocha and his opponents were for the rail, and the 9 river completed the board.

Bernardini Left Short After Losing Race

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

All of the chips went in the middle before the flop and Samir Dahdir was at risk for 38,600 against Gianluca Bernardini.

Samir Dahdir: AK All in
Gianluca Bernardini: 99

It was a classic race until the flop came AK7, giving Dahdir top two pair. The 2 turn and 3 river were no help for Bernardini, leaving him with just a few big blinds.

James Takes Out Raymond

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Alexandre Raymond open-jammed for 15,100 from middle position before Georgina James rejammed from the cutoff while all subsequent action folded.

Alexandre Raymond: KQ All in
Georgina James: AJ

James was a slight favorite and it remained that way on the 1063 flop. The 7 turn was no help to Raymond and James sealed the knockout on the A river as Raymond hit the rail while James added to her large stack.
