Kenan Taylor had raised his button when Quan Zhou three-bet to 20,000 in the big blind. Taylor stuck in his stack of 87,000 chips in response, and was awarded with a fold from his opponent.
On another table, Paul Lagan opened for 6,000 in the hijack, after which Joris Ruijs three-bet to 14,000 in the cutoff. David D'Alessandro called in the big blind, but Lagan instantly jammed for 106,000.
Both his opponents mucked their cards as Lagan chipped up uncontestedly.
On other tables, Konstantyn Holskyi and Dimitrios Angelakos were less successful in putting their chips in the middle and were eliminated from the tournament for a second and final time.
