Zachmanidis Makes the Right Call on a Scary Board

A full board of 43QKJ was showing with around 70,000 chips in the pot when Bo Jin bet 55,000. Martin Paap folded, which left Georgios Zachmanidis with a decision. A lot of time went by before Zachmanidis eventually flicked in a chip which signified a call.

Jin was slightly hesitant to show but flipped 73 for just a pair of threes, then Zachmanidis tabled KQ for top two pair for the winner.

Wiciak Gets Value on the River

Nolan Madene bet 10,000 from middle position on a flop of J94 and Simon Wiciak called in the big blind, while Jamie Flynn folded in early position.

Madene and Wiciak both checked the 8 turn. Wiciak then led out for 13,000 on the 3 river and Madene called. Wiciak showed J7 for top pair and Madene mucked.

Astedt Shoves on Georgopoulos

Ionnis Georgopoulos had opened the action with a raise to 10,000 in the cutoff. Niklas Astedt then put the Greek all-in from the small blind.

Georgopoulos spent a few minutes in the tank but eventually folded as hand-for-hand continued.

The flop came 8K2 giving Seibt two pair and Barnes second pair. Barnes checked and Seib bet 8,000. Barnes made the call.

The A was turned and both Barnes and Seibt checked.

Barnes bet 14,000 on the Q river, but Seibt made a quick call to take the pot.

With 50,000 already in the pot, Maltez called off for his tournament life and showed JJ. His set of jacks was the best hand, and he received a full double-up after Madene showed 33.

Alexandre Raymond moved all in again on the bubble, this time for 45,000 in middle position as Viktor Jensen put him at risk in early position. "I just wanted the TV time," Raymond joked as they waited to turn over their cards.

Raymond had run into Jensen's aces as the flop came J98, giving Raymond some outs to a straight. The turn was the 6, while the 10 fell on the river to give Raymond his straight and a miracle double up.
