Jack Sinclair bet 120,000 from the cutoff on a board of Q♦9♠J♣9♣ and Shakhabiddin Muradov raised to 275,000 on the button. Sinclair then put in his pig card protector as well as his last 590,000, and Muradov called.
Sinclair showed 8♣7♣ for straight and flush draws, while Murado had K♥9♥ for trips. The A♣ fell on the river and Sinclair completed his flush. "Wow," tablemate Jianwei Lin yelled out as Sinclair earned the massive double up.
Umberto Ruggeri raised to 30,000 under the gun before Jack Kiriakus three-bet to 105,000 in middle position. Oscar Mas then moved all in for 370,000 in the small blind, Ruggeri folded, while Kiriakus paused for a moment before calling.
Oscar Mas: A♣A♠
Jack Kiriakus: K♥K♣
"I almost folded," Kiriakus said upon finding out he had run his kings into Mas' aces. The flop came J♣10♠J♦, but the K♦ fell on the turn to give Kiriakus a full house as he let out a big fist pump.
The river, though, was the A♥ and Mas made his own full house to win the pot and double up. Kiriakus asked the dealer if he could take a picture of the board before handing over his chips. Ruggeri then admitted he had folded a king preflop.
Three-way to a flop of 10♠6♦2♣, Vladimir Erceg checked from the big blind with A♠2♠. Aliaksandr Shylko then put a bet of 35,000 into the pot of 115,000 under the gun with 7♠7♣.
Eero Rantala called with 3♠3♥ before Erceg folded bottom pair. The 4♦ turn was subsequently checked by both players, after which Shylko fired 50,000 on the 6♣ river.
After some thought, Rantala tossed in a call. Shylko tabled his sevens and Rantala quickly tossed his inferior pocket pair into the muck.
Boris Kuzmanovic open raised from early position and Manuel Goncalves moved all in from the big blind with a short stack of less than 10 big blinds. Kuzmanovic made the call and players turned their cards, with Goncalves at risk.
Manuel Goncalves: A♥5♦
Boris Kuzmanovic: K♦6♦
The board ran out K♣8♠3♠J♣6♠ and Kuzmanovic paired his king on the flop. Goncalves called out for his ace, but it never came. Kuzmanovic held to win the pot and Goncalves was eliminated from the tournament.
Georgios Karakousis had committed his stack of around 400,000 to the pot and Ivan Zhechev had put the chips into the middle of the table in an attempt to thin down the field further.
Georgios Karakousis: 2♣2♦
Ivan Zhechev: 5♥5♣
No ducks were in sight for Karakousis as the runout of J♠K♦3♣6♥Q♠ meant he was eliminated.
Matteo Orchide raised to 30,000 under the gun and Stephen Song called as next to act. The action then folded to Sindre Hansen in the small blind, who three-bet to 150,000.
Orchide quickly folded but Song put Hansen all-in for 705,000. Hansen immediately called as the cards hit their backs.
Sindre Hansen: K♥K♣
Stephen Song: J♠J♣
Hansen looked poised to double up in the huge pot, even more so whe the 4♣9♦7♦ flop and 2♠ turn left Song with just two jacks as outs.
However, the J♦ arrived on the river and made Song a set. Hansen quickly left the featured table while Song could not help but smile as he stacked up his newly acquired chips.
