Shcherbakov Comes From Behind to Double Off Hassankashani

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Kirill Shcherbakov limped in from the cutoff and Arian Hassankashani raised to 56,000 in the small blind. Shcherbakov then moved all in for 273,000 and Hassankashani called.

Kirill Shcherbakov: Q10 All in
Arian Hassankashani: AK

The 1066 flop gave Shcherbakov the lead with two pair, while the rest of the 9Q board missed Hassankashani as Shcherbakov finished with queens and tens to double up.

Both players checked the 5 turn and the 3 fell on the river. James then moved all in and Postel, with around 410,000 remaining, folded.

Hu Gives It Back as Kamphues Wakes Up With Aces

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Zhewen Hu and Timo Kamphues went heads up to a flop of 537 where Kamphues bet 55,000 from middle position. Hu then raised to 145,000 in early position, Kamphues moved all in for 310,000, and Hu snap-called.

Timo Kamphues: AA All in
Zhewen Hu: 99

Kamphues found himself far in front with his aces as the board ran out Q7, earning him a late-night double up and knocking Hu back down to a short stack.

Crucial Double-Up for Kraous

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Anton Kraous
Anton Kraous

Ranno Sootla opened to 24,000 in early position and received calls from Adrien Quetelart on the button, and Ivan Zabiiakin and Anton Kraous in the blinds.

On the KJ9 flop, action was checked to Sootla, who continued with a bet of 27,000, which only Kraous called.

On the 3 turn, Kraous check-jammed for 272,000 over a bet of 95,000 from Sootla. Sootla didn't like it, and burned through all of his remaining three time banks, before making the call.

Anton Kraous: Q10 All in
Ranno Sootla: AK

Kraous had Sootla drawing dead, having flopped the king-high nut straight, and the 4 river completed the board.

Dogan Secures a Double Against Tamm

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Deniz Dogan
Deniz Dogan

On a board of 49106, Deniz Dogan got the last of his chips in the middle with Taago Tamm looking to thin down the field.

Deniz Dogan: QQ All in
Taago Tamm: 98

Dogan had the best of it right now, but Tamm had his fair share of outs as any seven. eight, or nine would see the Estonian scoop the pot and eliminate Dogan. Instead, the 3 dropped on the river and Dogan screamed "Yesss!" as he scooped in the pot worth around 300,000.

Ace! King! Cohen and Hu Both Shout For Cards

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Lucien Cohen
Lucien Cohen

Lucien Cohen moved all in for 180,000 in the cutoff and Zhewen Hu called in the big blind.

Lucien Cohen: AQ All in
Zhewen Hu: KK

Hu had woken up with kings to leave Cohen at risk of elimination. "Ace," Cohen yelled out heading to the flop, which came QJ7. "Ace or queen," he shouted, and he got his wish when the A fell on the turn to give him two pair.

"King," Hu cried as he pleaded for help. The dealer obliged by turning over the K on the river to give him a set and send the Ratman to the rail.

"Bravo, my friend. It's good," Cohen, in the gentlest voice he's had so far this level, told Hu as he reached across the table to shake his opponent's hand before heading for the exit.

Cohen Doubles, Switches Up Celebration

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Timo Kamphues raised from the hijack to 25,000 and Lucien Cohen again shoved for 86,000 from the small blind. When it got back to Kamphues, he called.

Lucien Cohen: 99 All in
Timo Kamphues: AJ

Cohen found himself in another all-in situation, and he managed to survive again as the 461052 runout kept his pocket nines in the lead.

The only thing different about this Cohen victory was the celebration, as his famous "ratman" quote wasn't used; instead he opted for a more French approach.

"Allez! Alllleezzzzzzzzz!" shouted Cohen.

Sebastian Malec

Sebastian Malec kicked off the action from the cutoff with a raise to 24,000, only to be three-bet to 70,000 by Fahredin Mustafov on the button. Malec responded by shoving for around 400,000, and Mustafov snap-called, bringing the two to a showdown.

Sebastian Malec: QJAll in
Fahredin Mustafov: 1010

Malec needed help from the board, but it ran out K5287, offering no improvement. Malec was sent to the rail, while Mustafov continued to build his already solid stack.

Zabiiakin Gets Value From Cappellesso; Sootla Sends Out Kuznetsov

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ivan Zabiiakin raised to 24,000 in early position and Nicola Cappellesso called in the big blind.

The flop came 1084 and Zabiiakin bet 30,000. Cappellesso called and the 9 turn was checked through to the Q river.

Zabiiakin then bet 80,000 and Cappellesso snap-called, only for Zabiiakin to show AJ for a straight to win the pot.

A few hands earlier at this table, Nikita Kuznetsov got his short stack in with 65 from the big blind on a board of 876J8, but Ranno Sootla in early position had AJ for top pair and Kuznetsov, who made the final table of this event last year, had his tournament come to an end short of replicating that run this year.
