Nariman Yaghmai moved all in for 45,000 in early position and Enrique Rodriguez Cabanillas put him at risk from the cutoff.

Nariman Yaghmai: KK All in
Enrique Rodriguez Cabanillas: AK

"I need luck," Rodriguez Cabanillas said upon finding out he was up against Yaghmai's kings. The 256 flop and 10 turn were no help, but Rodriguez Cabanillas spiked the A on the river.

Yaghmai could only shrug as he left the table while Rodriguez Cabanillas dragged in the pot.

Thumm Triumphs: Hansen Exits Tournament

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Gus Hansen
Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen busted just before the break, and a player provided PokerNews with a recap of the hand:

Everybody folded to Hansen in the small blind, who raised to 4,000. Niclas Thumm called from the big blind.

Both players checked through the 7xQxJx flop.

The 3 turn prompted Hansen to bet 4,000 and Thumm raised to 18,000. Hansen went all in and Thumm called.

Gus Hansen: KxQxAll in
Niclas Thumm: Qx3x

With top pair, better kicker, Hansen was ahead until the turn. With two pair, queens and treys, Thumm had taken the lead, and the 9 on the river didn't change anything. Thumm, a finalist at the 2023 PSPC Bahamas, eliminated Hansen from the tournament.
