Gordo Fades the River to Eliminate Chalot

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Guillermo Gordo
Guillermo Gordo

On a board of 9♠3♣Q♥4♣ with a sizable pot already in the middle, Benjamin Chalot shoved from under the gun for approximately 850,000. Guillermo Gordo thought it over and decided to make the call from the cutoff position to put Chalot at risk.

Benjamin Chalot: J♥10♠
Guillermo Gordo: Q♣J♠

Gordo had made the right call against Chalot, but would still need to fade Chalot’s open-ended straight draw.

The 5♥ river bricked out and Gordo was awarded the rest of Chalot’s chips.

Heads-up on a flop of A♦3♥Q♦, Daniel Kyosev bet 50,000 from early position before Parker Talbot raised to 100,000 in the big blind. Kyosev called and the J♠ fell on the turn.

Talbot then moved all in for around 100,000 more and Kyosev called with Q♣8♣ for a pair of queens. Talbot, though, had A♣7♦ for top pair and held on through the 6♦ river to double up.

"I want you at the final table," tablemate Vlad Darie said to Talbot after the hand.

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Action was folded to Renji Mao in the small blind, who jammed on Louis Linard in the big blind with a covering stack. Linard made the quick call to put himself at risk.

Louis Linard: A♦10♣
Renji Mao: A♠8♠

Ouachekradi Holds On For a Double Bustout

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Fabiano Kovalski raised to 100,000 in the cutoff before Vladimir Shabalin put him all in from the big blind.

"The last time I saw you was like ten years ago. How are you playing these days? Still go all in with anything?" Kovalski said before folding as Shabalin showed K♦J♠.

The next hand, Kovalski raised to 420,000 and Joao Mestre called in the cutoff. Naim Ouachekradi then moved all in from the big blind, Kovalski called for his last 200,000, while Mestre also called.

Fabiano Kovalski: A♠J♠
Joao Mestre: A♣Q♦
Naim Ouachekradi: A♥K♠

Ouachekradi stood up from his seat as he found himself dominating both opponents. The board ran out 10♠3♥5♣5♥9♥ and he took the pot with his king-kicker. The stacks were counted down and he had Mestre's last 1,200,000 covered, sending out both players and pushing his stack up around 3,000,000.

Schwaederle Makes the Right Call

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Cedric Schwaederle opened to 100,000 from early position and was called by Michel Leibgorin in middle position and Mathias Siljander in the big blind for a three-way pot.

Siljander checked to Schwaederle on the 10♠5♦10♣ flop and he continued for 100,000. Leibgorin folded and Siljander called.

Both players checked on the A♥ turn and then Siljander led out for 450,000 after the 3♦ completed the board. Schwaederle went deep into the tank, but eventually stuck in calling chips.

Siljander tabled 5♣4♦, which was no good against Schwaederle‘s A♣7♣ for a higher two pair and Schwaederle collected the pot.

Benjamin Chalot: A♦9♦
Valdas Tamasauskas: K♦J♦

Chalot was in great shape with ace-high versus king-high, while also covering the flush draw, and the 8♥5♥9♥8♣2♥ runout confirmed Chalot's double-up with a pair of nines.
