Alexander van der Swaluw moved all in for around 310,000 under the gun and Jesse Lonis put him at risk from the cutoff.
Alexander van der Swaluw: J♦J♠
Jesse Lonis: A♥K♦
Van der Swaluw was flipping for his tournament life but saw the flop come K♥6♣8♠ to give Lonis top pair. The board ran out 6♠8♦ and Lonis claimed the rest of his stack.
"Good game, brother," Lonis told him as van der Swaluw headed off to the rail.
Valentin Oberhauser shoved for his last 400,000 on the button and just behind him, Fabio Peluso also shoved for more. The big blind folded and a showdown was held.
Valentin Oberhauser: K♥Q♦
Fabio Peluso: 9♦9♥
It was a race, but the A♥J♠3♣2♥J♦ runout came clean for Peluso’s nines and Oberhauser was sent to the payout desk.
Alessandro Pichierri raised to 60,000 under the gun before Henrik Juncker three-bet to 175,000 in middle position. Claas Segebrecht four-bet to 350,000 in the cutoff and Daniel Neilson five-bet to 920,000, leaving himself one 5,000 chip behind. Pichierri folded, but juncker moved all in for 650,000 and Segebrecht reshoved.
"If this guy folds," Segebrecht said as Neilson began tanking.
"I stop poker," tablemate Rony Halimi said.
"I will quit as well," Segebrecht said. Neilson eventually tossed in his last chip.
Henrik Juncker: A♦A♣
Daniel Neilson: K♥K♦
Claas Segebrecht: A♥A♠
Both Juncker and Segebrecht showed down a pair of aces, while Neilson was left holding two kings as the board ran out 8♠8♣4♦7♠2♠. Juncker and Segebrecht chopped the main pot, while Segebrecht took out Neilson in the side pot.
"I thought it was the other way around," Juncker said, pointing out that he thought Neilson had the aces.
Nearly 500,000 was already in the middle as three players saw the turn on a board of 10♠4♣2♠3♦. Sergii Baranov then bet 270,000 from the cutoff, Denzel Spekman called on the button, while Yves Bianchetti called in the big blind.
The river was the 8♦ and Baranov bet another 250,000. Bianchetti tanked for a minute before calling and Baranov tossed A♣J♣ into the middle of the table. Bianchetti showed 5♥4♦ for a pair of fours to win the pot.
Vladimir Shabalin open-jammed from the cutoff for 315,000 and Naim Ouachekradi re-jammed with a covering stack from the button, getting folds from the rest of the table.
Vladimir Shabalin: A♣4♠
Naim Ouachekradi: A♦Q♠
Shabalin was in bad shape and remained so after the K♠9♠2♦ flop, but the 4♣ came off on the turn, leading Ouachekradi to tap the table in frustration, and that frustration only increased after the 4♦ river sent Shabalin the pot with trip fours.
As he raked in the pot, Shabalin sheepishly said "Pardon" to his opponent in his best French accent, to which Ouachekradi laughed and said "Niet, no pardon".
