Mokri, Andersson Pick on Thorel

Sam Greenwood raised to 4,000 on the button before Kayhan Mokri three-bet to 16,000 in the small blind. Jean-Noel Thorel called in the big blind, while Greenwood got out of the way.

The flop came Q810 and Mokri moved all in. Thorel had around 45,000 remaining and quickly folded.

The next hand, Thorel limped in, Joakim Andersson raised to 5,500 in the big blind, and Thorel called. Both players checked the 9410 flop.

The turn was the 7 and Andersson bet 10,000. Thorel again folded and Andersson showed him 77 as he took the pot.

In a limped pot between the blinds, Mike Watson led out for 3,500 on a board of 910Q4 and Joao Vieira called.

The river was the A and Watson bet 15,000. Vieira used up a time bank before calling once again, only to muck once Watson turned over Q10 for two pair to win the pot.

Byron Kaverman raised to 3,500 under the gun before Elias Gutierrez three-bet to 10,500 on the button. Kaverman four-bet to 25,000, Gutierrez moved all in, and Kaverman called for around 85,000.

It was a classic flip as the flop came 39K, giving Kaverman top pair and the lead. The turn was the 10, while the J fell on the river to give Gutierrez a straight and send Kaverman to the rail.

Santhosh Suvarna raised to 3,500 in the cutoff, then called when Thomas Boivin three-bet to 13,000 on the button.

The flop came Q43 and Boivin continued for 9,000. Suvarna called to see the 3 turn.

Boivin then bet 17,000 and Suvarna again called. The river was the J and Suvarna checked for a third time. Boivin checked back and Suvarna turned over 88.

Boivin, though, had 99 as he took the pot.

Jean-Noel Thorel moved all in for 30,000 from the small blind and Thomas Santerne put him at risk from early position.

Thorel was a big favorite to double up as he had woken up with two aces. The board ran out 58K710 and Thorel took the pot.

Greenwood Cruising Early

Heads-up on a flop of 358 and around 35,000 in the pot, Sam Greenwood bet 21,000 from the small blind and Adrian Mateos called in the hijack.

The turn was the 6 and Greenwood bet 37,000. Mateos again called and the 6 fell on the river.

Greenwood slowed down and checked, and Mateos quickly checked back as Greenwood turned over 98 for two pair. Mateos mucked and Greenwood took the pot, moving his stack past 300,000 early in the day.

The river was the 8 and Kaverman bet 20,000. Gutierrez then raised to 60,000 and Kaverman spent a minute shaking his head before letting go of his cards.

Thomas Santerne and Vladimir Troyanovskiy are the two latest additions to the field, while Tamas Adamszki was recently eliminated for a second time today.
