Level 23 Highlights
Omar Lakhdari opened to 60,000 from an early position with the A♠7♠, picking up a call by Hans Erlandsson on the button with the 5♠5♥. Tom Middleton then squeezed to 250,000 in the big blind with Q♦Q♣ and Lakhdari inquired to see his stack before folding.
Erlandsson used three time banks to study his opponent carefully and then called. The A♣K♥6♥ flop saw Middleton bet 100,000 and Erlandsson this time instantly called within just a few seconds. Middleton then checked the 3♠ turn and Erlandsson bet 200,000 to force out the EPT champion.
David Kaufmann and Panagiotis Mavritsakis had already built a pot of around 500,000 as they went heads-up to the 9♦5♣J♣ flop.
Kaufmann checked in the big blind over to Mavritsakis who bet 260,000 in early position. Kaufmann called and the 6♥ fell on the turn.
Kaufmann checked again and Mavritsakis used two time banks before moving all in. Kaufmann called for 1,220,000.
"Wow," a tablemate said as the two players went to reveal their cards. Mavritsakis showed Q♥Q♠, but Kaufmann had A♠A♦ and held up through the 5♥ river to win the pot and double up.
Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 50,000 in the cutoff before Sindre Hansen three-bet to 200,000 in the small blind. Zhongxian Li called in the big blind, while Ponakovs got out of the way.
The flop came 6♥6♣9♥ and Hansen led out for 125,000. Li called and the K♦ fell on the turn.
Hansen then bet 175,000 and Li again called. The river was the J♦ and Hansen bet 225,000. Li used a time bank before calling once more, then mucked when Hansen showed K♣Q♦ for two pair.
After doubling to 625,000 moments ago, Dimitar Danchev had chipped back down to a stack of 270,000, and he was quickly all-in and at risk once again. Danchev moved in from the cutoff and was called by Lorenzo Arduini from the small blind.
Danchev tabled A♣8♣ and was ahead of his opponent's K♥J♥.
He paired his eight on the 8♦4♠2♥ flop and held out on the 10♠ turn and 3♠ river.
Omar Lakhdari opened the button to 55,000 with K♠4♠, earning a call by Gonzalo Almeida in the big blind with the Q♦J♥. On the J♦4♣2♥ flop, Almeida had barely checked when Lakhdari already fired a bet of 55,000 and received a call.
Almeida also checked the 6♦ turn and Lakhdari now checked by placing his finger on the button. Nothing changed on the 3♥ river, Almeida bet 75,000 and was paid off by Lakhdari to win the pot.
On a completed board of 5♥Q♣10♥9♥7♦, Leo Worthington-Leese made a bet of 200,000 from the small blind into a pot of 355,000.
His opponent was Kostadin Kostadinov in the cutoff, who tanked for a while before putting in the call.
Worthington-Leese showed K♦Q♦ for top pair and raked in the pot once Kostadinov's cards hit the muck.
Panagiotis Mavritsakis raised to 50,000 in middle position before Leo Worthington-Leese three-bet to 135,000 in the hijack. Mavritsakis then moved all in and Worthington-Leese snap-called for 675,000.
Leo Worthington-Leese: K♣K♥
Panagiotis Mavritsakis: 5♠5♣
Worthington-Leese was a big favorite to double up with his kings as the 10♠K♠6♥ flop improved him to top set. The board ran out Q♣9♦ and Mavritsakis paid off the double up.
