Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Eric Afriat opened to 160,000 from under the gun and called off his stack of 1,510,000 after Sindre Hansen moved all in from the small blind as the bigger stack

Sindre Hansen: AQ

Hansen had a few extra outs after pairing up on the Q92 flop but remained behind. The 4 turn was a brick and the K river confirmed Afriat's double up.

Eliot Hudon opened to 160,000 from the button with QQ and Sindre Hansen called from the big bind with Q7.

Hansen paired his seven on the A72 flop and check-called for 110,000. The Q turn had potential to be a huge action card as Hudon improved to a set while Hansen had two pair. Sparks ignited as Hansen check-jammed after Hudon bet 250,000. Hudon called off his last 1,500,000 and doubled up after the 8 completed the board.

Kaufmann Keeps Building

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 160,000 as first to act and David Kaufmann defended his big blind.

Ponakovs made a continuation-bet of 150,000 on the AK5 flop and Kaufmann called after having checked first.

The 2 turn was checked by both players before Kaufmann led out for 500,000 on the 10 river.

Ponakovs quickly folded and Kaufmann increased his stack even more.

Boatman Continues Sail Away from the Pack

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

With AJ, Peter Jorgne raised to 160,000 from the hijack. Barny Boatman defended his big blind with 97.

The 1085 flop checked through to the 9 turn, to give Boatman the lead with a pair of nines. Both players also had an open-ended straight draw. Boatman bet 215,000 and was called.

The 6 river gave Boatman the straight and a bet of 500,000 folded out Jorgne.

David Tous Eliminated in 13th Place (€76,300)

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
David Tous

Before the hand, Ami Barer asked the floor about the rule about leaving too few chips behind after a raise, referencing Aleksejs Ponakovs' double up earlier.

"He doesn't know. He usually plays the high rollers and we don't use that rule in the high rollers," Barer was told.

"I can tell by the jacket he plays the high rollers," Barer joked, pointing out Ponakovs' sleek gold sweater that contrasted with his plain blue shirt.

Ponakovs then raised to 160,000 in the hijack and David Tous slid forward a tower of green 25,000 chips from the small blind. Ponakovs didn't even wait for the amount before moving all in. "No," Tous cried out as he called for his last 1,800,000.

David Tous: A9
Aleksejs Ponakovs: AK

Tous was dominated and found no help on the 10J65J flop as Ponakovs' king-kicker was enough to send him to the rail in 13th place.

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Hans Erlandsson

Ami Barer raised to 160,000 from the cutoff and the action folded to Hans Erlandsson in the big blind. He weighed his options for a bit before committing his stack of roughly 1,000,000 chips in the middle.

A snap call followed from Barer and the cards went on their backs.

Hans Erlandsson: 33
Ami Barer: KK

Erlandsson was rooting for a three to emerge from the deck, but none would come on the A7Q49 runout. Barer's kings held up to eliminate the Swede in 14th place.

Lorenzo Arduini raised to 160,000 in the hijack and David Kaufmann called in the small blind. Aleksejs Ponakovs then three-bet to 1,000,000, leaving himself 15,000 behind. Arduini folded, but Kaufmann moved all in and Ponakovs tossed in his last chips.

Aleksejs Ponakovs: KQ
David Kaufmann: AJ

The J65 flop gave Kaufmann top pair and Ponakovs a flush draw to go with his two overcards. The 5 turn was no help to Ponakovs, but he spiked the 2 on the river to make his flush and double up.

Arduini Takes One on the Turn

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Lorenzo Arduini raised his button to 160,000 and Ami Barer made the call in the big blind.

The A46 flop saw Arduini continue for 100,000 and Barer check-call. On the 5 turn, Barer checked again before Arduini tossed in 450,000 chips.

Barer thought about it for a bit but ultimately folded and forfeited the pot to Arduini.

Farid Jattin moved all in from the small blind and Eliot Hudon called off his stack of 1,100,000 after using a time bank card.

Eliot Hudon: 1010
Farid Jattin: A7

Hudon welcomed the QJ10 flop but the Jattin still had outs to broadway. The 3 turn brought in a flush draw for the bigger stack but Hudon breathed a sigh of relief after the 8 river completed the board.
