Yaroshevskyy’s River Shove Forces Mutlu to Fold

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

PokerNews joined the action on the turn with the board reading 55A2 and around 25,000 already in the pot. Igor Yaroshevskyy, seated in middle position, bet 8,500. Vedat Mutlu, on the button, briefly considered his move before raising to 21,000.
Yaroshevskyy took his time, going deep into the tank as he weighed his options, counted his stack, and studied Mutlu intently. After a long pause, he made the call, keeping the hand alive.

The river brought the K, and without hesitation, Yaroshevskyy shoved for his remaining 22,000 chips. Mutlu, visibly frustrated with the turn of events, folded quickly, conceding the pot to Yaroshevskyy's bold play.

In a three-bet pot, Arjel Daci checked to Valentino Konakchiev who continued for 19,000 on the 1042 flop. Daci then check-raised all in for 53,000 and action was on Konakchiev.

Daci was ahead but reacted by getting to his feet when the A rolled off on the turn. The river was the Q and Daci was eliminated.

"I called because of the backdoors," Konakchiev said aloud. "He has jacks in his range. I have the queen of clubs and backdoor draws up and down."

Friendly Fire: Kapeller Rivers Aces Against Auer

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Matthias Auer
Matthias Auer

Siegfried Kapeller opened the action with a raise to 4,000 from the cutoff, and Matthias Auer called from the big blind, setting the stage for a lighthearted battle between two Austrian players.

The flop came K3K, and Auer checked. Kapeller followed up with a small continuation bet of 2,000, which Auer called without much hesitation.

The 6 turn saw no further action as both players checked.

On the A river, Auer checked once more, and Kapeller seized the chance to bet 7,000. Auer snap-called, prompting Kapeller to reveal A10 for two pair, kings and aces.

Auer let out a laugh, flipping over just the 8 as he remarked, "You got lucky on the river," implying he’d been ahead until the final card hit. The playful exchange added a touch of humor to the hand between the compatriots.
