Final Table Will Form on Day 6 of EPT Barcelona Main Event
Just 11 players remain in the €5,300 Main Event at PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona inside Casino Barcelona in the quest to win €1,436,000 and become the newest EPT champion. Leading the way heading into Day 6, which kicks off at noon local time, is Sweden's Anton Suarez, the beneficiary of the biggest pot of the tournament late last night who will look to best a career best $1 million live score from 2020.
Also eying that top seven-figure prize is France's Thomas Eychenne, who will enter the penultimate day second in chips, while his fellow Frenchmen Youssef Zereg and Yohan Rascar make up the bottom of the counts. In between these players in terms of chips are Spain's Sergio Carro Marin and Cesar Garcia, Britain's Marc Foggin, Italy's Umberto Zaffagnini, Colombia's Julian Pineda Lozano, Poland's Tomasz Brzezinski and Romania's Sebastian Ionita.

Yesterday's Day 5 wrapped up after a little more than four levels of play with the elimination of Brazil's Joao Webber, whose dream at an EPT title turned to a nightmare as he had aces cracked by the queens of Thomas Eychenne, who flopped a set just a few minutes into the fifth level of the day to put an abrupt end to the evening.
That means Day 6 will pick back up with 67 minutes on the clock of Level 29 with blinds of 50,000/100,000/100,000. Today will likely play down to the final six, five or four before pausing ahead of the final day on Sunday, Aug. 31.
