Tricarico Keeps Picking on Seat 5

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Christophe Pommier, occupying the fifth seat at this table that once belonged to the departed Billal El-Tanji, raised to 500 in the hijack before Alexandro Tricarico three-bet to 1,700 on the button. Pommier called.

The flop came QJ7 and Tricarico bet 1,300. Pommier again called to see the 10 turn, where Tricarico bet another 5,500. Pommier quickly folded this time as Tricarico added to his big stack.

Defending champion Stephen Song is sandwiched between Pommier and Tricarico at this table.

Lista Puts Shahar in a Tough Spot

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With around 6,000 in the pot already on a J10Q flop, Ran Shahar bet 2,200 out of the big blind and Gianluca Lista called from under the gun.

The turn brought a 4 and both checked it through to the 5 river, where Shahar checked again. Lista then put out a milky 2,500, which sent Shahar into a deep ponder. Around 90 seconds passed and Shahar still hadn't decided how to proceed, but did eventually lay his cards down.

Grzegorz Kozieja is seated at the same table and has just over the starting stack.

Rauhut Jams on Ni

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

The action was picked up on a board of 5K108K with approximately 8,000 in the pot.

Liangce Ni bet 7,500 in early position 7,500, then Thomas Rauhut on the button moved all in for 24,300. Ni went deep into the tank, but ultimately chose to fold. Rauhut seemed pretty relieved by this decision and scooped the pot.

Heads-up on a flop of 5109, Sean Jazayeri bet 1,500 from middle position and Tom Cohen raised to 5,100 on the button. Jazayeri then moved all in for 17,000, and Cohen snap-called.

Sean Jazayeri: JJ All in
Tom Cohen: 99

Jazayeri turned over a pair of jacks, but Cohen had flopped a set to take the lead. The board ran out 4A and Cohen scored the knockout.

"Always. Always has to flop a set. That's twice," a tablemate said as Cohen raked in the pot.

Gurianov Doubles Through Zerjav

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Blaz Zerjav
Blaz Zerjav

There were already around 7,000 in the pot between Blaz Zerjav in the small blind and Vitalii Gurianov in the big blind.

The flop read A27 and Zerjav checked and then called a bet of 2,500 from Gurianov to see the 10 drop on the turn. Zerjav checked again, and Gurianov bet 7,000. Zerjav took some time to think it over and then raised enough to put Gurianov all-in, who pretty quickly called off his stack of just under 20,000.

Vitalii Gurianov: AK All in
Blaz Zerjav: AJ

Zerjav needed an offsuit jack on the river to get the win, but the 8 wasn't it, which meant Gurianov doubled up.

Straightey, Flushey Board Saves Dyrstad From Potential Disaster

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Allan Dyrstad and John Burke saw a flop of Q7K when Dyrstad bet 1,600 from early position. Burke called in middle position.

The turn was the A, and Dyrstad bet another 3,500. Burke quickly called, and the J fell on the river, putting four cards to a royal flush on the board.

Dyrstad slowed down and checked, and Burke checked back. Dyrstad turned over 77 for a set of sevens, but Burke had QQ for a set of queens to win the pot.

Dyrstad could only laugh as he got off light from the cooler-in-the-making. "When the last diamond came, I thought this is either really good or really bad," he said.

Masato Yokosawa recently took his seat at this table.

Tait Makes Everybody Fold

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Georgios Vrakas opened to 500 from middle position. Paul Tait to his left called, as well as David Perez on the button, Juan Reverter in the small blind and Jerome Sgorrano in the big blind.

All five of them checked a flop of 4J7 leading to the K turn where the action was about to be the same until Perez bet 1,600. The blinds folded but both Vrakas and Tait called.

The 6 completed the board and after Vrakas checked, Tait led out for 5,600. He made everybody fold and scooped the pot.

Sellam's Boat Good Enough

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

A beefy pot had brewed on a board of JQQ53 between Kent Roed and Rubens Sellam.

Sellam was in the big blind and threw out 10,800, which was about the size of the pot, and the decision was on Roed in the hijack. It didn't take too long for Roed to flick in the chips.

Sellam then showed a full house with JJ, and that was more than enough to win the pot as Roed mucked.

France's Sellam was second in the FPS Main Event at EPT Monte Carlo in 2023, where he picked up a career-best score of €191,940.

Brad Libson
Brad Libson

With around 6,000 in the pot on a board of 734A, Ivan Saul bet 3,000 from the button before Brad Libson raised to 11,000 in the cutoff. Saul took a minute before calling, and they saw the 9 fall on the river.

Libson then moved all in for 12,200, and Saul snap-called. Libson turned over KQ for a flopped flush, and Saul mucked AK before handing over the double up.

Saul was left with around 5,000 after the hand and was eliminated a few minutes later.
