2025 PokerStars EPT Barcelona
Manuel Ferrari opened to 3,000 on the button and Christophe Pommier three-bet jammed a stack of around 30,000 from the big blind. Ferrari called with a bigger stack.
Christophe Pommier: A♦6♣
Manuel Ferrari: 6♦6♥
Pommier couldn't pull ahead as the board ran out K♣4♦8♣6♠5♦ to improve his opponent to a set. At the same table, 2023 EPT Barcelona Main Event champion Simon Wiciak sits with a stack of 150,000.
Michele Perego was all in against the bigger-stacked Runar Runarsson on a flop of 6♠10♦3♦.
Michele Perego: 10♥9♣
Runar Runarsson: K♠J♠
Perego was ahead with top pair but couldn't stay that way as the board finished out K♦Q♦ to mark his elimination.
Jesus De Silva was all in from the hijack against the bigger-stacked Joris Ruijs in the cutoff.
Jesus De Silva: K♣Q♣
Joris Ruijs: A♠A♣
De Silva got some help from the K♥5♣4♠ flop and the 4♣ turn improved him to a flush draw, but the J♠ river bricked off to mark his elimiation at the hands of Ruijs.
Victor Fryda was all in for around 15,000 in the cutoff against the bigger-stacked Andres Vasquez in the big blind.
Victor Fryda: 10♠9♠
Andres Vasquez: Q♠Q♥
Fryda never stood a chance as the flop landed 4♣Q♣4♦ to have him drawing stone dead before the board finished out a teasing 10♥9♦ to mark his elimination.
Jamie Walden bought into Day 2 right before it kicked off, but didn't last long in the tournament as Daniel Rezaei cut it short.
The chips were in the middle preflop, with Walden's stack of around 22,000 at risk from under the gun, with Rezaei in the hijack.
Jamie Walden: K♠Q♠
Daniel Rezaei: 10♠10♥
You have to win flips to win tournaments, and it looked to be going Walden's way as he flopped Broadway on A♠J♥10♦. Rezaei had outs to a full house, but the 8♥ turn didn't improve his set.
What did improve his set was the board-pairing 8♠, which boated up Rezaei and sent Walden on his way.
