2025 has been a breakthrough year for the PokerStars Open (PSO) tour, with packed fields, thrilling finals, and players from all over Europe chasing titles across the new regional circuit.

And now, the debut season will end on the French Riviera, one of the most glamorous ways possible.

The final stop of the year, PokerStars Open Cannes running from December 16–21, lands in the Palace of Festivals and Congresses of Cannes, the same venue that hosts the world-famous film festival.

Cannes offers the perfect stage for PSO’s curtain call, and the first-ever PokerStars League Awards, where the season’s standout performers will be honoured.

The players were preparing to go on break when Simon Lofberg raised to 800,000 in early position on the last hand of the level. Adrian Ziemichod called in middle position, while Amato Landi also came along in the big blind.

The flop came 5♦3♠2♥ and Landi moved all in for 6,400,000. Lofberg reshoved, and Ziemichod practically beat him into the pot and slammed in his last 7,300,000.

Both Landi and Lofberg turned over two eights, but they were each drawing dead against Ziemichod's aces. The board ran out 7♦9♠ and Ziemichod scooped the pot, sending Landi to the rail while earning a double up off Lofberg.

Amato Landi was down to his last 5,600,000, open-jammed from the hijack and scooped the blinds.

He did the same thing again in the next hand. He almost got a call from Lulei Hu in the big blind, but Hu folded and showed Q♣9♥.

Landi showed A♣Q♦, and then scooped up the pot, climbing back up in the counts.

Adrian Ziemichod raised to 800,000 in the hijack and Yulian Bogdanov called in the big blind.

Ziemichod continued for 600,000 on the 9♥4♥3♥ flop, and Bogdanov folded.

Lulei Hu then raised to 800,000 in the hijack and Bogdanov again called on the button. Hu bet 700,000 on the Q♦8♣7♥ flop, and Bogdanov again gave up his hand.

Hu opened again to 800,000 the next hand, and Ben Hurwitz moved all in for 8,050,000 in the hijack. "Next time I call you, I promise," Hu told him as he folded.

"I have to make sure it's with aces next time," Hurwitz replied as he took the pot.

Yulian Bogdanov opened to 800,000 from early position and Lulei Hu defended the big blind.

The K♠6♥8♦ flop was checked by Hu and Bogdanov bet 550,000. Hu took some time but called.

A 9♣ turn saw Hu check-fold after Bogdanov bet 1,800,000.

Ivan Poroliev raised to 800,000 in the hijack, Simon Lofberg three-bet to 2,000,000 in the cutoff, and Poroliev folded.

Lofberg then raised to 800,000 in middle position and Lulei Hu three-bet to 2,500,000 on the button. Lofberg moved all in for 10,850,000, and Hu confirmed the amount before calling.

Both players showed down ace-king and were poised to chop up the big pot, but Lofberg picked up a flush draw on the Q♣10♣5♥ flop. Hu also had a flush draw after the 10♥ turn, but they both missed the A♦ river and chopped the pot.
