Zhang Puts Van Rooij in Tank

Merijn van Rooij open-raised to 80,000 in middle position. Yang Zhang fired a three-bet to 245,000 from the small blind, which Van Rooij called.

Zhang bet 125,000 on the 3♦3♣2♦ flop and 275,000 on the A♣ turn. Van Rooij matched the bet both times, after which the Q♥ river completed the board.

Zhang moved all in, covering Van Rooij's stack of 1,200,000. Van Rooij went deep into thought, taking a couple of minutes to think the hand through.

Eventually, after having apologized to the table for taking his time, Van Rooij tossed his cards into the muck, surrendering the pot to Zhang.

Cech Gives Up "Ace-Queen-Ish" to Stoyanov

Radoslav Stoyanov and Vitezslav Cech went to the turn on a board of 10♣A♦2♥3♦ when Stoyanov bet 350,000 from under the gun. Cech called in the cutoff.

The river was the 3♠ and Stoyanov bet another 600,000. Cech tanked for several minutes, but this time he eventually gave up his hand.

"Ace-queen," Fahredin Mustafov said to him.

"Ish," Cech replied.

Claus Spieckermann opened to 80,000 and action went to Clyde Tjauw Foe on the button who was looking down at just 200,000.

Foe tanked from the small blind and kept looking at the clock as there was a significant pay jump.

The floor was called as another player called the clock, and Foe raised to 150,000.

Spieckermann quickly moved all in, and Foe took the maximum amount of time the floor allowed before calling.

Foe flopped well as the dealer placed the 6♥2♦8♣, giving him a set.

Spieckermann picked up a queen on the Q♠ turn but couldn't catch up on the J♥ river.

Foe made the pay jump and said to the table, "It was exactly the pay jump".

Spieckermann responded, "I know, I thought about tanking for you".

Benedict Cullen raised to 80,000 in the hijack. Shmuel Goldenberg upped the ante to 250,000 in the cutoff, which Rama Prema four-bet to 550,000 on the button.

Cullen quickly got out of the way, and Goldenberg's cards also hit the muck after spending a few minutes in the tank.

Margereson Sets Up Gkatzas

Heads-up on a flop of J♥6♦3♣, Scott Margereson bet 80,000 from middle position and Dimitrios Gkatzas called in the cutoff.

The turn was the Q♦ and Margereson bet another 280,000. Gkatzas again called, and the J♠ fell on the river.

Margereson slowed down and checked to Gkatzas, who moved all in for 500,000. Margereson snap-called and Gkatzas turned over A♦J♦ for trips, but Margereson had Q♣J♣ for a full house to win the pot and send Gkatzas to the rail.

Big blind Davit Mikhanashvili and Presiyan Tsvetanov in middle position had reached the J♠2♥8♠7♥ turn when Mikhanashvili checked to Tsvetanov.

Tsvetanov bet 375,000, and Mikhanashvili moved all in for 1,040,000 after some thought. Tsvetanov needed a few minutes himself before deciding to call with the covering stack.

Action folded around to Di Giacomo who made a quick call, and the players flipped their hands.

The A♠2♣A♣ flop was good for Eliyahu, but the 10♦ turn saw a small sweat of a straight for Di Giacomo.

Action checked to Toledano on the 9♣3♠J♥ flop and he bet 90,000. Only Tsvetanov called, and the 2♥ fell on the turn.

Toledano then bet 300,000, and Tsvetanov again called. Both players checked down the 8♥ river, and Tsvetanov turned over K♦J♦ for a pair of jacks to win the pot.
