Daniel Holzner and Christian Steindel each had 3,000 in front of them from the small blind and big blind respectively. They were faced with a preflop shove for 19,800 from Vladislav Dubanov in the hijack. Holzner folded, before Steindel went into the tank.
After a few minutes, a player at the table called the clock. About 10 seconds later, Steindel called with a covering stack to put Dubanov at risk.
Vladislav Dubanov: J♠J♥
Christian Steindel: 8♠8♣
Steindel's pocket eights were dominated, and he was unable to improve on the 6♦9♠3♥A♥4♣ runout, resulting in a double up for Dubanov.
The action erupted three-way on a 5♦Q♠K♣10♣ turn. With only a small amount in the pot and after some previous action, Simone Andrian reraised all in on the button.
Artus Gimenez had already vacated the pot under the gun, but big blind Sylwia Studniarz was deep in the tank with a stack of about 20,000. Eventually, she shrugged and called for her tournament life.
Sylwia Studniarz: K♠Q♥
Simone Andrian: J♥9♥
Studniarz pushed her chips forward as the 5♣ river didn't change either player's hand. The dealer counted the chips and pushed them toward Andrian.
When Studniarz asked for clarification, the dealer informed her that Andrian had the covering stack.
"But I won," a perplexed Studniarz replied.
Studniarz buried her head in her hands when the table informed her Andrian had a straight before she dejectedly left the tournament area after busting her second bullet.
With the board showing A♠10♠5♦A♦4♣ and about 5,000 in the middle, Max Bashlawi in the cutoff faced a 7,300 bet from Tommaso Palasciano in the small blind.
Bashlawi took his time, carefully counting his chips before finally making the call. Palasciano turned over A♥5♥ for a full house, which was more than enough to claim the pot.
Timur Margolin opened to 800 from the hijack and received calls from Henrik Brockmann in the small blind, and Manuel Valkov in the big blind.
The flop came J♥J♣3♦, and action checked around to Margolin who bet 700. Only Brockmann called.
The two remaining players checked the 6♠ turn, leading to the 10♣ river. Brockmann bet 1,600, and Margolin called.
Brockmann showed Q♣J♦ for trip jacks to win the hand.
Koyes Miah opened to 800 from the hijack and Victor Castanedo called on the button. Leo Worthington-Leese three-bet to 3,000 from the small blind, and only Castanedo called.
The J♠9♥2♠ flop was bet by Worthington-Leese for 9,000 covering Castanedo's remaining ~7,000 stack and Castanedo called.
Victor Castanedo: K♥J♥
Leo Worthington-Leese: A♣K♦
Castanedo just needed to hold to secure the double, and the 3♥ turn and 2♣ river was enough to keep him ahead.
Small blind Martin Golini and Rostyslav Sabishchenko on the button had built a pot of 10,000 when they arrived on the A♠2♥3♥2♦ turn.
Golini bet 6,000, Sabishchenko moved all in for 7,000, and Golini quickly tossed in the extra chip.
Rostyslav Sabishchenko: A♣J♦
Martin Golini: J♥3♣
The 5♠ river remained safe for Sabishchenko, doubling him up with his top pair.
Jeffrey Sarwer limped in from the small blind, Donato De Bonis raised to 800 from the big blind, and Sarwer called.
The flop came Q♦7♥5♣. Sarwer check-called a 600 bet from De Bonis.
The two players checked the Q♥ turn, leading to the 9♥ river. Sarwer checked, De Bonis bet 1,800, and Sarwer called again.
De Bonis turned over K♠9♦ for a rivered two pair, and Sarwer mucked.
Lucas Schenck opened to 700 from under the gun, and Ioannis Oikonomidis called from the small blind.
The 5♠Q♥K♠ flop was check-called by Oikonomidis after Schenck bet 1,000.
A 2♦ turn was checked to the A♦ river and again to showdown, with Schenck taking down the pot with a pair of kings showing K♥J♦.
In the next hand on the same table, Metodi Peychev opened to 700 and Giovanni Punziano three-bet to 2,700 from the small blind.
Peychev asked how much as Punziano had only 7,000 left behind. Peychev mucked, allowing Punziano to pick up the much needed pot.
