Lampropus Doubles Up as Sciacca Leads Into Monster

Maria Lampropulos made it 40,000 to go in the hijack, which Antonio Sciacca called in the small blind. The duo went heads up to a flop of 7♣4♥3♦, where Sciacca led out for 30,000.

Lampropulos just called to the 5♥ turn, where she called again when Sciacca sized up to 100,000. The 6♥ river then completed a straight on the board, prompting Sciacca to move all in.

Lampropulos rechecked her cards before snap-calling for her stack of 675,000. Sciacca played the board with his A♣J♦, but Lampropulos had rivered a flush with her A♥7♥.

Lampropulos doubled up to a stack worth one and a half times the average, while Sciacca's bluff attempt left him with half a big blind to try and spin up.

The turn was the A♦ and Worthington-Leese bet another 150,000. Jordon called, and the 3♣ fell on the river. Jordon then led out for 300,000, and Worthington-Leese snap-called.

Jordon showed 4♥4♠ for a rivered straight, and Worthington-Leese tossed A♥10♦ into the muck.

At another table, Traian Stanciu bet 50,000 from under the gun on a flop of J♣3♠5♠ and Xiaowen Zhao called in the big blind.

Both players checked the 6♠ turn before Zhao led out for 75,000 on the J♠ river. Stanciu then raised to 250,000, and Zhao folded.

Sciacca then checked the J♠ turn, seeing Ragone put in a bet of 110,000, around half the size of the pot. Sciacca weighed his options for a bit, but ultimately folded the best hand near the end of his 30-second shot clock.
