With the PokerStars Live League reaching its final two stops, David Docherty finds himself perfectly positioned for a late surge.
Just EPT Prague and PokerStars Open Cannes remain, not just for Docherty to overtake Steinn Thanh Du Karlsson at the top of the Low tier, but also there are winners to be crowned in the Medium and High tiers as well.
Thomas Bazin kicked things off with a button raise to 30,000, and Roman Stoica in the small blind called. With the action now on Javier Fernandez in the big blind, he moved all in for 385,000. Back to Bazin, he called, and Stoica stepped aside, setting up a showdown.

Farbod Nazari raised to 30,000 in the cutoff as David Hu and Mehdi Senhaji came along from the blinds.
The flop came A♦4♠2♠ and Senhaji bet 25,000. Nazari then raised to 80,000, Hu got out of the way, and Senhaji called.
Both players checked the 10♠ turn before Senhaji led out for 200,000 on the 7♣ river. Nazari called, and Senhaji showed 5♥3♦ for a flopped straight to win the pot.
At another table, Gianfranco Iaculli raised to 30,000 in middle position, Ivan Uzunov three-bet to 100,000 in the cutoff, and Iaculli called.
Uzunov continued for 60,000 on the 4♥6♦7♥ flop and Iaculli called. Iaculli then led out for 125,000 on the Q♣ turn, and Uzunov called.
The river was the 3♣ and Iaculli moved all in. Uzunov had around 540,000 remaining and tanked for four minutes into the break before folding.
Terry Jordon limped in from the small blind, and Fahredin Mustafov checked from the big blind.
The flop came A♠3♠5♦. Jordon bet 25,000, and Mustafov called.
Both players checked the 4♦ turn, leading to the 10♥ river. Jordon bet 25,000, and Mustafov raised to 145,000, leaving just a few T-5,000 chips behind. Jordon called.
Mutafov tabled 5♣2♠ for a wheel straight, and Jordon mucked his hand.
Terry Jordon kicked things off on the button with a raise to 30,000, and only Paawan Bansal stuck around to see the Q♠Q♥7♦ flop, which both players checked through.
On the J♦ turn, Bansal led with a bet of 40,000, and Jordon made the call without much hesitation.
The dealer tabled the 5♣ on the river, and Bansal continued this time for 115,000. Jordon called, but Bansal turned Q♣3♣ for trips queens. Jordon’s cards went in the muck, conceding the pot to Bansal.
Vasyl Pidhrusnyi opened to 30,000 in early position with J♥10♣. It folded to Chaofei Wang in the big blind, who defended 10♠8♣ and check-called Wang's bet of 25,000 on the 2♥10♦4♠ flop.
Wang then led out for 35,000 on the 2♠ turn, which Pihdrusnyi just called. Wang sized up to 85,000, getting Pidhrusnyi to fold in what would have been a split pot.
Terry Jordon kicked things off with an open raise from middle position. Fahredin Mustafov in the hijack then went all in for his last 95,000. Action folded to Jeffrey Sarwer in the big blind, who four-bet to 200,000, which made Jordon muck his hand and led to a showdown.

Luka Sorainen raised to 30,000 on the button, Farbod Nazari three-bet to 75,000 in the small blind, and Sorainen called.
The flop came Q♣6♦4♣ and Nazari bet 55,000. Sorainen called, and the 9♣ fell on the turn.
Nazari checked over to Sorainen, who bet 75,000. Nazari called to the A♣ river, where he led out for 225,000. Sorainen folded, and Nazari allowed him to pick one of his cards. Sorainen choose the 6♠, and Nazari also revealed the 10♥ as he took the pot.
At another table, Eyal Maaravi raised to 35,000 on the button before Gianfranco Iaculli three-bet to 85,000 in the small blind. Maaravi then four-bet to 240,000, and Iaculli folded.
The next hand, Maaravi bet 25,000 on a flop of 3♦6♠8♦ and Bora Kurtulus called in the big blind.
Maaravi bet another 65,000 on the Q♣ turn, and Kurtulus again called. The 4♥ fell on the river and Maaravi bet 150,000. Kurtulus called once more, and Maaravi showed A♦Q♦ for top pair to win the pot.
