Gianfranco Iaculli made it 60,000 to go in the hijack with K♠10♣. Thomas Bazin in the big blind was the only interested party, as he defended 10♠8♥.
Bazin flopped the nuts on 9♣7♣6♦, and he led out with a bet of 100,000. Iaculli called to the 3♦ turn, where the hand ended when Bazin overbet the pot by sliding 525,000 chips over the line.
Xiaowen Zhao raised to 60,000 under the gun before Traian Stanciu three-bet to 175,000 in middle position. Ding Fan called on the button, while Zhao got out of the way.
The flop came 7♣5♣5♥ and Stanciu checked to Fan, who bet 150,000. Stanciu then raised to 375,000, and Fan called.
Stanciu moved all in for 590,000 on the 6♥ turn, and Fan snap-called. Stanciu showed A♥A♠, while Fan had A♣3♣ for straight and flush draws. The 8♠ river was safe for Stanciu, and he doubled up in pot worth nearly 2,500,000.
"Disgusting. Very disgusting," Fan said with a big laugh, keeping up his boisterous and affable personality despite taking the hit.
At the same time, at the other outer table, Vasyl Pidhrusnyi had bet 40,000 from the hijack on a flop of Q♣10♠3♥ and Dominique Liebrechts called on the button.
Pidhrusnyi bet another 75,000 on the J♥ turn, and Liebrechts again called. The river was the 10♥, and Pidhrusnyi checked to Liebrechts, who bet 400,000.
"Ace-king of clubs? Doesn't make sense," Pidhrusnyi said as he went deep into the tank, taking several minutes before folding.
Xiaowen Zhao opened to 60,000 from the cutoff, and Pasi Laihinen defended from the big blind.
Laihinen check-called a 50,000 bet from Zhao on the 5♥8♦K♥ flop. He then check-called a 100,000 bet on the 2♥ turn, and a 305,000 bet on the A♠ river. Zhao tabled J♥10♥ for a turned flush to take down the sizable pot, leaving Laihinen with about 12 big blinds.
It folded to Thomas Bazin on the button, who raised his Q♥9♦ to 60,000. Eyal Maaravi defended his big blind with J♥8♥ and checked the K♣9♥4♦ over to his opponent.
Bazin placed a continuation-bet of 50,000, which Maaravi raised to 135,000. Bazin was not convinced and called to the A♥ turn.
The ace did not slow down Maaravi, who fired 210,000 into the pot. Bazin stuck around again, and he called to see the 9♣ appear on the river.
After spending two time banks, Maaravi decided to check. Bazin attempted to get 300,000 worth of value for his rivered trips, but Maaravi added his bluff to the muck instead.
Matan Krakow raised to 60,000 in the cutoff before Chaofei Wang moved all in for 350,000 on the button. "Okay, good luck," Krakow said as he called.
Chaofei Wang: K♦Q♣
Matan Krakow: A♣J♦
Wang took the lead on the K♣9♥7♦ flop with top pair, while the turn was the 6♣. The Q♠ river improved him to two pair, and Wang doubled up to leave Krakow on less than 10 big blinds.
Jeffrey Sarwer kicked off the action with a raise to 60,000 under the gun. Gianfranco Iaculli called in the hijack, Tobias Peters came along in the small blind, and Thomas Bazin defended his big blind.
The quartet checked through the 8♦K♥6♦ flop, enticing Peters to bet 105,000 on the 5♠ turn. Bazin and Sarwer mucked their hands, A♣10♣ and A♠J♥, respectively, while Iaculli stuck around and called.
Peters gave up on the J♣ river and checked, showing down 9♣8♣ after Iaculli had checked back. Iaculli had a pair with 9♠9♦, enough to win the chips in the middle.
"Second chip leader," Ding Fan said as he opened to 90,000 in the small blind.
"You might be first after this," Dimitrios Gkatzas replied as he called in the big blind.
"I'm very lucky," Fan added, and the flop came 10♠8♦6♥. Both players checked to the A♥ turn, where Fan led out for 75,000. Gkatzas then raised to 175,000, and Fan reraised to 400,000. Gkatzas folded.
Fan allowed Gkatzas to choose one of his cards, and Gkatzas picked the 7♦. "Told you, very lucky," Fan said.
Ding Fan opened to 60,000 from middle position, and Mehdi Senhaji called from the cutoff. Fabian Bartuschk raised to roughly 700,000 on the button, committing almost his entire stack. Fan reshoved, covering both players, and Senhaji folded K♦Q♦ face up, not realizing that Bartuschk was not quite all-in yet. Bartuschk then called off with his remaining chips, putting himself at risk.
Fabian Bartuschk: 9♣9♥
Ding Fan: J♣J♠
The board ran out 8♥10♠10♦A♠5♦, keeping Fan in front with pocket jacks to eliminate Bartuschk.
Thomas Bazin opened the pot with a raise to 60,000 in the hijack. Gianfranco Iaculli in the small blind weighed his options for a bit before he upped the ante to 225,000.
Conor O'Driscoll was in the big blind and four-bet to 450,000, leaving only 180,000 behind. Bazin quickly folded his 9♦8♦, but Iaculli moved in over the top. Driscoll instantly called.
Conor O'Driscoll: A♦K♣
Gianfranco Iaculli: A♣5♣
Iaculli's ace-five threatened to become a flush after the Q♣J♠3♦10♣ turn, but O'Driscoll's Broadway straight was way ahead. The A♥ river changed nothing, and O'Driscoll locked up the pot and doubled up.
