With 105,000 in the pot, Gabriel Tavares checked the 5♥5♣4♣J♣ turn from the big blind. After spending one of his time banks, Nicola Bordignon then bet 42,000 from the hijack, which Tavares called.
The 4♦ river was quickly checked to showdown, where Tavares tabled K♦K♣ for the winning hand.
Djilali Dahou jammed from middle position for 41,000 and Andrey Andreev made the call from the cutoff.

Dahou was ahead with queens and just had to avoid a king to double up and keep his chances of making the money alive.
Andreev picked up a straight draw on the 6♥9♦10♣ flop, but nothing came of it as the 8♣8♦ completed the runout, allowing Dahou to double up.
Gary Fisher raised to 6,500 in the cutoff, which only Denis Titenski called in the big blind.
Titenski check-called a bet of 8,500 on a 7♣J♥J♣ flop, and check-called another on the A♥ turn, this time for 22,500. When the 5♠ completed the board and Titenski checked a third time, Fisher wisely checked behind. Titenski tabled J♠10♦ for flopped trips, and Fisher mucked his hand.
For his entire poker career, Thomas Eychenne would lie awake at night and imagine himself on a big stage, surrounded by bright lights and the blinding flash of cameras, as he hoisted a major trophy in the air. There were many opportunities for him to achieve that dream, but he always came up just a bit short. Still, he never gave up hope that it would happen one day.

With it came his biggest career score after conquering the massive 2,045-player field, but also, just as importantly, his first-ever live tournament win.

Davide Marchi raised from the hijack and Gilles Simon called from the big blind.
Simon check-called bets from Marchi on all three streets through the 3♦A♥J♦K♦8♠ runout. The first was for 3,500 on the flop, followed by 10,000 on the turn and finally 28,000 on the river.
Marchi turned over 8♦8♣ for a rivered set, much to the surprise of Simon, who claimed he had two pair.
As Marchi was pulling in the pot, Parker Talbot commented.
"That river and he only bet 28?" Talbot asked Simon.
Simon nodded, prompting Talbot to deliver his opinion: "That's an Italian river bet right there."
Giuseppe Calio opened to 5,000 in the cutoff. John Juanda then three-bet to 18,500 in the small blind, and big blind Gary Fisher upped the ante further with a four-bet to 46,000.
Calio did not deem it enough yet and jammed all in for 223,000. Juanda quickly folded, and Fisher followed suit after getting an exact count.
Dmitry Dzhumachuk raised to 5,500 on the button, and Nicola Bordignon defended his big blind.
Both players checked on the 7♣10♥3♥ flop, tempting Bordignon to lead out for 5,000 on the 9♠ turn, which Dzhumachuk called.
The 6♣ completed the board, and both players checked once again. Bordignon tabled K♠Q♥, which was no good against Dzhumachuk's A♥9♦.
After some raising back-and-forth between Tal Herzog in the small blind and Jianxing Kuang in the middle position, Herzog's stack of 75,000 found its way into the middle, putting him at risk of elimination.

Herzog's cowboys were ahead, although Kuang picked up a flush draw on the Q♦J♦2♠ flop.
The J♠ turn was a blank, and while the 7♠ river improved Kuang to a pair, it wasn't enough to win the pot, meaning Herzog doubled up.
