A Little Bit of Black Magic Sends Kozieja to the Rail

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Grzegorz Kozieja
Grzegorz Kozieja

Arnaud Enselme raised to 80,000 from under the gun, and Michael Dwyer called in the small blind. Grzegorz Kozieja responded with a three-bet to 485,000 from the big blind, leaving one 5,000 chip behind. Enselme four-bet all-in, which quickly removed Dwyer, and Kozieja committed his final chip.

Grzegorz Kozieja: K♥K♣ All in
Arnaud Enselme: A♠Q♠

The J♦7♥3♣ flop and 7♣ turn offered Enselme no extra help, leaving him with just three outs in his quest to reduce the field by one. As the dealer burned a card and began to turn the river, Enselme flicked his A♠ towards where the final card was about to land. As if by magic, it arrived just as the A♣ completed the board, bringing Kozieja's Main Event to an end.

Kozieja's elimination saw him fall in 24th, busting at the same time as Henok Tekle Mariam, just shy of the final three tables.

Tekle Mariam Falls Before Final Three Tables

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Henok Tekle Mariam
Henok Tekle Mariam

Manuel Ferrari opened the action with a raise to 80,000 under the gun. Xiaosheng Zhen called as next to act, prompting Henok Tekle Mariam to squeeze in a three-bet to 310,000.

Ferrari moved all in in response, causing Zheng to quickly get rid of his A♣J♣. Tekle Mariam, however, quickly called for 1,600,000.

Henok Tekle Mariam: Q♥Q♦ All in
Manuel Ferrari: A♥K♥

The 9♠J♠3♥5♥ flop and turn provided Ferrari with a flush draw, and the 7♥ river improved him to a flush to send Tekle Mariam packing.

Carbo Ends Tavares With a Straight Flush

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Gabriel Tavares
Gabriel Tavares

Gabriel Tavares jammed the button for 160,000 and Gerard Carbo made the call from the small blind.

Gabriel Tavares: A♥10♣ All in
Gerard Carbo: J♥10♥

Tavares was ahead with ace-high and also had Carbo dominated.

Carbo flopped a monster draw on the Q♥9♥6♦ flop and found instant service on the 8♥ turn, improving to an unbeatable straight flush.

Tavares was drawing dead, making the Q♠ river a mere formality as he headed to the rail.

Before pulling in the pot, Carbo whipped out his phone to snap a picture of the straight flush that had sent Tavares packing. After getting the right angle, he finally got to work stacking the chips, taking his count past five million.

Grane Next to Go

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Albert Grane
Albert Grane

Albert Grane open-shoved for 400,000 on the button, and John Juanda called off in the big blind after spending some time in the tank.

Albert Grane: K♦8♦ All in
John Juanda: K♣9♦

Juanda flopped top pair on 9♠7♥6♥, but Grane remained in contention with a straight draw. The J♣ turn and 8♣ river did not bring it in, however, eliminating Grane.

Minolfi Becomes First Exit of Day 5

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Luigi Minolfi
Luigi Minolfi

Luigi Minolfi raised to 80,000 in the cutoff. Jose Criado three-bet to 225,000 on the button, and Minolfi put in calling chips.

Minolfi checked the 4♣K♣A♣ flop over to Criado, who bet 150,000. Minolfi then jammed all in for 770,000, and Criado snap-called.

Luigi Minolfi: A♠7♠ All in
Jose Criado: A♥Q♣

It was looking bleak for Minolfi, and he was officially eliminated when the 8♣ turn upgraded Criado to a flush, rendering the 2♣ river irrelevant.
