Romanello Latest to Fall

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Roberto Romanello
Roberto Romanello

Roberto Romanello opened to 6,000 from the cutoff and found himself facing a three-bet to 25,000 from Josep Valls in the big blind. Romanello responded by moving all in for 151,000. After confirming the bet size, Valls called, putting Romanello at risk.

Roberto Romanello: AK All in
Josep Valls: QQ

It would be a flip deciding Romanello's tournament fate, with the money bubble looming large.

There was no help to be found on the 3610 flop, with the 5 turn and 6 river also unforthcoming, and, after wishing the table good luck, Romanello departed.

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jorge Ufano Pardo raised it 6,000 in the hijack. Kosumosu Yamanaka then three-bet to 15,000 on the button, and Ufano Pardo four-bet jammed in response.

Yamanaka quickly called off his stack of 64,500, and the cards hit their backs.

Kosumosu Yamanaka: 77 All in
Jorge Ufano Pardo: AJ

Yamanaka's pair remained best on the 6442K board, and he doubled up to a healthy stack of over 40 big blinds.

PokerStars Revamps Power Path With New $530 Bronze Pass

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
PokerStars Power Path
PokerStars Power Path

PokerStars has rolled out a major update to its Power Path qualification system, introducing a brand-new $530 Bronze Power Pass as part of a restructure designed to smooth out progression between buy-in levels.

The changes, which came into effect on April 27, leave the upper echelons of Power Path unchanged with the $10,300 Gold Pass and $2,500 Silver Pass both remaining in place, while the main adjustments come further down the ladder, where PokerStars has reshaped its Bronze tier and added a new entry point for lower-stakes players.

Ju Drags Four-Way Pot; Vazquez Dazzles Dizy

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Mehdi Chaoui made it 5,000 to go under the gun. Nikita Kuznetsov flat-called in the cutoff, and Samuel Ju and Osman Aksu did so in the blinds. The quartet then checked through the J27 flop, after which Ju bet 5,000 on the 5 turn.

Aksu and Chaoui quickly folded, but Kuznetsov had other plans and raised to 17,500. Ju called to the 7 river, where the players checked it to showdown. Ju tabled K5 and won the pot when Kuznetsov tapped the table and mucked his hand.

At an adjacent table, Alejandro Vazquez and Dorian Dizy had gathered a pot of 95,000 when Vazquez bet 23,000 on the QJ52 turn from middle position.

Dizy called on the button, but folded when Vazquez shoved all in for 67,500 on the 7 river. Dizy accidentally flipped over his AK, and Vazquez won the pot without showing his cards.
