Mestre Moves Up Leaderboard

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Raul Mestre
Raul Mestre

Samuel Ju and Raul Mestre had reached the 375K3 river. Ju checked from the big blind, after which Mestre overbet the 235,000 pot for 320,000.

Ju went deep into the tank, spending several of his time extensions before he flicked in a calling chip. Mestre showed KQ for kings and threes. Ju could not beat that hand, adding his cards to the muck in defeat.

Polito Scoops In Full Double Up

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Laurent Polito
Laurent Polito

Laurent Polito opened to 45,000 from the hijack, which only Miroslav Rizov in the small blind called.

Rizov checked in flow on the K89 flop, and Polito continued with a bet of 40,000. Rizov responded with a check-raise to 95,000, and, almost as quickly as he had slid the raise into the middle, Polito moved all in for 210,000, which Rizov called.

Laurent Polito: AA All in
Miroslav Rizov: K10

The 8 turn wiped out some of Rizov's outs, leaving him requiring one of the two remaining kings in the deck.

However, it was the Q that completed the board, and Polito had his double up.

Jason Wheeler opened to 45,000 in the cutoff, and Alexandre Bermon moved all in for 160,000 on the button. The action returned to Wheeler, who called.

Alexandre Bermon: A9 All in
Jason Wheeler: AQ

There was little to fret about for Wheeler, as the dealer spread a safe J723K board, eliminating Bermon.

Stoica and Polito Bluff Some Chips Off

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Stanislav Anufriiev raised to 40,000 in the cutoff. Small blind Jose Malpelli three-bet to 140,000 in the small blind, prompting big blind Roman Stoica to four-bet to 240,000.

Anufriiev quickly folded, but Malpelli instantly jammed all in. Stoica flung his cards into the muck in frustration, shipping the pot to Malpelli without showdown.

On another table, Laurent Polito made it 40,000 to go in the cutoff. Hugo Blaison defended his big blind and check-called Polito's continuation-bet of 65,000 on the 456 flop.

The 5 turn then checked through to the Q river. Blaison checked a third time, enticing Polito to bet 155,000. Blaison made a quick call, and he won the pot when Polito opted not to show his bluff and mucked his cards to forfeit.

Fast Falls Blind Versus Blind

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Dietrich Fast
Dietrich Fast

When the action folded to Stefan Dimitrov in the small blind, he moved all in, covering the stack of Dietrich Fast in the big blind. Fast took a look at his cards and then a look at the tournament screen before calling.

Dietrich Fast: A3 All in
Stefan Dimitrov: AK

It wasn't a hand that Fast would have wanted to see, and when the 102627 board offered no help, he was the latest player to fall.

Binder on Piles After Immense River Raise

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Bernhard Binder
Bernhard Binder

Bernhard Binder in early position and Artsiom Lasouski in middle position had amassed a pot of 225,000 when they saw the 3QQK10 river. Binder checked to Lasouski, who bet 85,000.

Binder then assembled a gargantuan raise to 500,000 and slid it into the middle. Lasouski sighed as he quickly called.

Binder tabled KQ for a full house, and Lasouski frustratedly showed his AJ for a rivered straight as he was left with under 20 big blinds to play with.
