Lahmani Finds Ace-Jack Against Binder Again

Oshri Lahmani was in the cutoff, raising it to 160,000. Bernhard Binder defended in the big blind, and the two players saw a flop of 5♣K♥A♣. Binder checked, Lahmani continued for 125,000, and Binder called.

The 4♦ turn was then checked through to the 3♣ river, where Binder led out for the minimum of 80,000. Lahmani quickly called, and his A♥J♥ bested the K♠J♠ of Binder to take the pot.

Bernhard Binder kicked the action off with a raise to 160,000 from under the gun. When play folded to Oshri Lahmani on the button, he moved all in for 1,375,000. The action returned to Binder, who called.

Binder improved to a pair on the 6♠Q♣K♥ board, and the 4♦ turn left Lahmani looking for one of just four outs to survive.

The deck obliged as the dealer burned and turned the 10♥ to complete the board, giving Lahmani Broadway and the double-up that came with it.

Bernhard Binder was in early position when he raised to 160,000. It folded to the short stack at the table, Leonard Maue on the button, and he three-bet to 700,000, just under half his stack.

Binder quickly put his opponent all-in, and Maue called off the remainder of his stack.

The 10♦9♥2♦ flop presented Maue with an opportunity to crack Binder's aces, but the 6♥ turn and 7♠ river left him stranded with a pair of tens.

The 2023 EPT Monte-Carlo runner-up took his exit in ninth place this time around, and he quickly left the feature table to pick up his payout.

That concluded the betting during the hand, as all four players checked to a showdown on the 4♣K♦Q♦3♠Q♥ board.

Ju picked up the pot with his 10♠10♦, as Djian held 6♥6♦, Maue had A♣3♣, and Malpelli was the only player without a pair, holding A♠9♥.

Jose Malpelli saw K♠10♥ in the hijack and raised it to 160,000. Roman Stoica flat-called 9♠9♣ on the button, and the two went heads up to the 6♥J♥Q♦ flop.

Malpelli quickly threw in a bet of 175,000, enough to let Stoica muck his cards and take the pot.

One hand later, Raul Mestre opened Q♣J♠ to 175,000 in middle position. Roman Stoica called K♠Q♠ in the cutoff, and David Djian defended A♠3♣ in the big blind.

The 9♥2♥3♠ flop and 4♠ turn were checked by the trio, and so was the 4♥ river. Dijan took down the pot with A♠3♣ for two pair.

The dealer spread a 7♠10♠2♥ flop, and Mestre led out for 350,000. Malpelli folded his 4♦2♦, Fan called, and Lahmani folded A♣Q♥.

With the field thinned by half, the J♦ joined the board, and both remaining players checked to see the 9♠ complete the board.

Mestre picked up the betting lead again, putting 450,000 into the middle, and Fan called.

Mestre flipped over K♦10♣, which was no good versus Fan's Q♠J♠.

Malpelli was having none of it and raised to 450,000, but Mestre was not done either as he announced a three-bet to 1,050,000.

Malpelli spent two time banks before folding top pair, surrendering the pot to Mestre.

Roman Stoica tossed in a raise to 160,000 in the cutoff, and David Djian opted to defend in the big blind. Stoica bet 175,000 on the J♣3♦7♠ flop, and Djian quickly check-called.

Both players then checked the 5♠ turn, leading to the Q♦ emerging from the deck on the river. Djian checked a third time, but Stoica assembled a bet of 325,000 and put it over the line.

Djian seriously considered his options, shuffling his remaining time banks before spending one and making the call.

Stoica showed down K♦J♦ for second pair, and Djian's A♦2♥ for an ace-high call was returned to the muck face down.
