Eduardo Silva was already all-in for his last 30,000 from the button as Tomas Jozonis and Gael Djenkal built a side pot on a board of Q♣3♥7♠2♠. Jozonis then bet 60,000 from the big blind, and Djenkal called in early position.
Jozonis bet another 60,000 on the 3♦ river, and Djenkal folded this time. Jozonis then showed 9♦9♠, and Silva mucked K♠10♣ as he headed to the exit.
Yuliyan Kolev put his stack of 160,000 at risk from the hijack. It folded to Jessica Teusl, who called in the big blind.
Yuliyan Kolev: 5♦5♣
Jessica Teusl: J♠9♠
Teusl flipped to victory by making a pair of jacks on the 4♠2♦J♦8♦A♥ runout, sending Kolev to the rail.
Shortly after, Alexandre Fournier checked from the big blind on a 6♣2♣4♥ flop. Joel Ettedgi placed a bet of 60,000 on the button, after which Fournier moved all in for 200,000.
Ettedgi asked for a count and quickly called once he had received it.
Alexandre Fournier: Q♣4♣
Joel Ettedgi: A♠4♠
Fournier remained outkicked as the 10♦9♠ runout brought no more clubs, solidifying his elimination.
Joris Ruijs raised to 30,000 under the gun before Hugo De La Fouchardiere three-bet to 85,000 in the cutoff. Ruijs called, and they saw a flop of Q♦Q♥10♣.
Both players checked to the 10♦ turn, where De La Fouchardiere bet 100,000. Ruijs called and checked again on the K♦ river, and this time De La Fouchardiere checked back.
De La Fouchardiere was happy he did, as Ruijs turned over A♦J♦ for a royal flush. "What's the jackpot again?" Ruijs joked.
"All these years playing poker, I've never had one," tablemate Paul Runcan said.
"I think I've had two, maybe," Ruijs replied.
"I've never had one," tablemate Casimir Seire added.
Tomas Jozonis raised to 30,000 in middle position, Renato Minicuci three-bet to 70,000 on the button, and Jozonis called.
The flop came Q♥4♣6♦, and Minicuci continued for 80,000. Jozonis called, and they both checked the A♠ turn.
The river was the 3♦ and Jozonis moved all in for 119,000. Minicuci called, and Jozonis showed A♦4♦ for two pair. Minicuci flashed king-queen as he mucked and handed over the double-up.
At another table, Enrico Coppola bet 55,000 from the small blind on a flop of J♥7♠3♣ and Thierry Gogniat called in early position.
Coppola then bet 120,000 on the 10♦ turn, and Gogniat again called. The river was the 10♣, and Coppola grabbed a stack of chips and splashed it in the middle, a bet of around 200,000. Gogniat didn't even wait to hear the amount before calling, and Coppola turned over A♣J♠. Gogniat, though, had Q♠Q♥ to win the pot.
In a sizable pot of 525,000, Hugo De La Fouchardiere and Paul Runcan both checked the 2♣8♥K♦A♠ turn.
De La Fouchardiere, in the big blind, checked the Q♥ river as well, but Runcan had other ideas and slid in 325,000, leaving only 25,000 behind.
De La Fouchardiere talked to himself for a while before he made a call. Runcan turned over A♥Q♠ for two pair, and De La Fouchardiere's cards disappeared into the muck.
Over at another table, big blind Endrit Geci bet 325,000, the vast majority of his stack, on the 2♠A♥9♥2♣6♦ river against Chady Ojeil in middle position. Ojeil then moved all in, and Geci opted to fold.
Geci was left with 105,000, which he lost not much later to become the next elimination.
Daniel Moran was in the hijack with a raise of 90,000 in front of him before Julien Mariani reraised to 260,000 in the small blind. Moran then moved all in, and Mariani snap-called for 905,000.
Julien Mariani: A♠K♣
Daniel Moran: A♦K♥
Both players turned over ace-king and were poised for a chop as the flop came 8♦5♣A♣. The Q♣ turn, though, gave Mariani a freeroll to a flush, and he hit the flush on the J♣ river to earn the double-up.
Moran turned away from the table in disgust at the sight of the river club. "Good hand," he eventually told Mariani, returning to his seat and handing over the big pot.
