Gogniat Puts in a Four-Bet

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

In a three-way limped pot, Thierry Gogniat bet 50,000 from under the gun on a flop of K75 and was called by Jorge Abreu and Raphael Bilger in the blinds.

The turn was the Q and Gogniat bet another 225,000. Abreu folded, while Bilger also turned over the 7 and tossed it into the muck.

The next hand, Julien Mariani raised to 100,000 in the hijack and Abreu three-bet to 285,000 in the cutoff. Gogniat four-bet to 525,000, and both Mariani and Abreu folded.

Abreu Remains Active

Jorge Abreu raised to 100,000 in middle position. It folded to Jessica Teusl in the big blind, who three-bet to 450,000. Abreu quickly folded.

On the next deal, Abreu made it 100,000 to go in early position. Thierry Gogniat came along in the hijack, but folded when Abreu continued for another 100,000 on the 10Q10 flop.

A couple of hands later, Julien Mariani limped in from the small blind, and Abreu checked his option in the big blind. The J10K flop checked through to the 10 turn, where Mariani bet the minimum of 50,000.

Abreu called, after which the 6 river was checked to showdown. Mariani tabled J8 for two pair, winning the pot when Abreu mucked his cards.

Sami Bechahed raised to 100,000 in early position and Thierry Gogniat called in the big blind.

The flop came Q37 and Bechahed continued for 60,000. Gogniat then raised to 225,000, and Bechahed reraised to 425,000. Gogniat folded, and Bechahed took the pot.

The next hand, Raphael Bilger opened to 135,000 on the button and Gogniat continued his aggression by three-betting to 445,000 in the small blind. Bilger folded, and Gogniat recouped some of his chips.
