Sent Holm

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Martin Stausholm was all in preflop with {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} but Johan Soderberg had picked up {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}. Stausholm was hoping to at be teased by the board but it came {7-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and he was eliminated.

We've lost around 20 players so far today, including two former champions.

McDonald Chopped Down

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Mike McDonald
Mike McDonald

Miguel Garcia was all in and Mike McDonald made the call to put him at risk. Garcia had made his move with {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and McDonald had him dominated with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Garcia would need some help from the cards.

The final board of {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs} saw the cavalry arrive at the very last moment as Garcia paired his ten to double up and put the hurt on McDonald.

Former Champion Eliminated

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Mikalai Pobal
Mikalai Pobal

Former EPT Barcelona winner Mikalai Pobal has been eliminated. Pobal was all in with {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} against Samuel Phillips {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}, the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop looked good for Pobal but the {4-Hearts} on the turn had him jumping out of his chair and putting his rucksack on.

The {J-Diamonds} on the river didn't improve Pobal and Phillips picked up the pot.

Candelof Is Off

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Andreas Candelof was on the short side chip wise and decided the cards he had been dealt were good enough. With all his chips in the middle he got looked up by Philippe D'Auteuil. Candelof was just ahead with {a-Hearts}{4-Spades} against the {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

The final board of {5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} changed all that though and the two pair of D'Auteuil sent Candelof to the rail.

Toft Doubles

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Casper Toft moved all in for his last 180,000 and got called in the big blind by Marko Neumann.

Toft was in good shape with his {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} against the lower pair {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} of Neumann.

A final board of {j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Spades} was safe enough and a relieved Toft doubled his stack

Stani Eliminated

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The first of seven former EPT champions has been eliminated. Kevin Stani who won EPT Tallinn, was all in with {J-}{J-} against Pawel Brzeski's {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. The {10-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop favoured Stani but the {K-Diamonds} turn and {K-Spades} river were all Brzeski and the Polish player increased his stack.

Libralesso Gets Lucky Double

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Sveva Libralesso, the second woman left in the field, had all her chips in preflop with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and had run in to the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} of Bram Haenraets.

Libralesso was the player at risk but salvation came on the flop as the board ran out {2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} to double up the Italian.

Prager, Izhak Both Fall

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The exits are coming like a zombie horde in 28 Days Later, thick and fast.

Josh Prager pushed all in with {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} but was knocked out when Sergei Popov's {A-Spades}{K-Spades} had him crushed on a {7-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades} board.

Robert Schulz called Yoni Izhak's all in on the turn of a {2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} board. Schulz had {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} and Izhak needed to hit with {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. The {8-Hearts} river wasn't a card the Israeli player was looking for and he was knocked out as a result.

Pinheiro Busted by Kurko

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Davidi Kitai had raised preflop from the cutoff, Jose Goncalves Pinheiro moved all in from the button and Kimmo Kurko reraised all in from the big blind, Kitai folded.

Pinheiro: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}
Kurko: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The board came {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}{J-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and Pinheiro rivered a pair but it was too late.
