Ensan Runs Into Phillips' Set

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Samuel Phillips and Hossein Ensan clashed in a big pot just now and it was the former that came out the winner.

Phillips fired a 155,000 bet on the {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop and Ensan made the call to see the {10-Clubs} on the turn. Phillips bet 315,000 but Ensan raised to 775,0000. Phillips thought for a minute and then made the call.

Both players checked the {K-Diamonds} river and Phillips turned over {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} to win the pot.

Senft Somehow Survives

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Maximilian Senft had all his chips at risk with {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and was up against the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} of Piotr Sowinski.

On a flop of {3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{k-Hearts} things looked truly desperate for Senft. He would have to go runner runner to survive. So he did with a turn card {j-Clubs} and the river {10-Spades} to give him Broadway and another life in the tournament.

Dato Doubles Through Panka

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Andrea Dato
Andrea Dato

Ok, Dominik Panka isn't running too golden, he's just managed to lose. Ironically, he started off the hand ahead. Andrea Dato was his opponent

Panka: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Dato: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Dato hit a queen on the river for the 3.7 million chip pot - that put the Italian into the chip lead on the feature table.

Sowinski Doubles Up

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Pawel Brzeski opened for 100,000 and was three-bet by Piotr Sowinski to 255,000. Brzeski moved all in and got the call.

Brzeski showed {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and was probably happy to see the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} of Sowinski. The cards fell {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Brzeski who had been on the wrong end of the dealer several times today finally got the rub of the green.

Gerald Karlic Eliminated in 18th Place (€47,400)

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Gerald Karlic
Gerald Karlic

That Dominik Panka, eh? He has been running particularly well today and Gerald Karlic has become his latest victim.

Panka had four-bet shoved over Karlic's three-bet from the blinds and the latter quickly called.

Panka: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Karlic: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

The Austrian looked good for a double up but after the board had come {2-Hearts}{J-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} the {Q-Spades} popped up on the river to give Panka a pair. €47,400 will have to do as a consolation for Karlic.

Pawel Brzeski
Pawel Brzeski

Pawel Brzeski pushed for 580,000 from under-the-gun and his compatriot Piotr Sowinski made the call in the seat next to him, everyone else folded.

The board came {6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Brzeski doubled up to over 1.2 million - over 20 big blinds.
