The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Hueber did a tour of the table offering handshakes before heading for the pay-out desk.

Mikkel Nielsen raised to 80,000 preflop from the cutoff, Dominik Panka then made it 190,000 on the button. Nielsen responded by four-betting to 310,000 and Panka moved all in. Instant call.

Panka was in real trouble but the flop came {2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} to give him a flush draw, the {6-Hearts} on the turn completed the flush but Nielsen could hit a six or the case ace to make a full house. The river was the {4-Hearts} and Panka doubled up to 2.6 million and Nielsen rolled his eyes in disbelief.

Rampone was looking to dodge aces and jacks but the board ran out {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{A-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and the American, who lost a 4 million chip pot yesterday when Bram Haenraets hit a 3-outer on him, has been eliminaed.

Hueber Doubles

Thomas Hueber moved all in from early position for 270,000 and got looked up on the button by Mikhail Rudoy. The blinds folded and the cards were on their backs.

Huebaer had {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Rudoy the {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

The final board was {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}, safe enough for Hueber who got his double up.

Ji Zhang opened to 80,000 from under-the-gun, Hossein Ensan then three-bet to 150,000 from small blind. Zhang called to see a {K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop.

Ensan, who won one of the Seniors' Event earlier this week, bet 195,000 and Zhang made the call to see the {5-Diamonds} on the turn. Ensan showed no letting up and bet 465,000. This was enough to push the German player off the hand.

ElkY, The Early Years Part 1

Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier sat down with PokerNews.com to talk about his first ever EPT experience.

Back in 2005, the man known as ElkY, was mostly famous for excelling at Starcraft in South-Korea while trying out online poker on the side. Grospellier got lucky in a satellite for video gamers and all of a sudden he found himself playing EPT Deauville.

Dominik Panka opened under the gun and picked up three callers including Benjamin Nicolas-[Removed:372] and Mikkel Nielsen. On a flop of {8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{q-Spades} Panka didn’t continuation bet but a bet from Nielsen saw Nicolas-[Removed:372] check-raise all in for 555,000.

Nielsen said he couldn’t fold for the price he was getting and tabled {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Nicolas-[Removed:372] showed {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

The turn {a-Spades} and river {2-Spades} bricked out and sent Nicolas-[Removed:372] to the rail.

Nielsen's Big Bluff Fails

On the river of a {9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, Slaven Popov, who'd check-called the whole way, checked the river across to Mikkel Nielsen. The Dane fired a bullet worth 655,000 into a pot of over a million but Popov made the call.

Nielsen showed a missed {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Popov picked up the huge pot with {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

Ramp-ing it Up

Maximilian Senft limped in the cutoff, Ji Zhang called on the button and Pawel Brzeski also called in the small blind. Nick Rampone stared intently at Senft's stack then announced all in.

All three other players quickly folded.
