Preflop there had been a bit of a raising war, Chris Moorman had made it 6,600 out of the blinds before Yoshiaki Hojo had raised to 12,600 in position. Moorman tanked for a couple of minutes before moving all in for another 29,000 on top and Hojo got a count before making the call.

Hojo: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Moorman: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The board came {9-Spades}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and the British player doubled up.

Nitsche Rivered Out

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

had been down to five big blinds in the later levels of yesterday’s play before spinning it up and then finding himself left short again for the start of today’s play. He got his last 12,000 in the middle with {a-}{k-} and was in good shape against the similarly short stacked Pierre Neuville who tabled {k-}{j-}.

The river was the killer for Nitsche though as it gave Neuville a straight to send the German Pro out on the streets of London.

Aido Climbs

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

After a series of preflop raises, Dzmitry Urbanovich and Sergio Aido take a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. With right around 21,000 already in the middle, Urbanovich checked. Aido reached for chips and moved 9,000 past the betting line.

Urbanovich thought for a moment but ultimately decided to let his cards go. Aido was awarded the pot and now has about 140,000 to his name.

Jorgensen Takes it on the Turn

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Theo Jorgensen

On the secondary feature table, Dominik Panka raised to 1,800 preflop and got one caller before Team PokerStars Pro Theo Jorgensen made it 5,300 from the cutoff. Panka called, as did the player in the middle to see a {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop.

Panka checked and the player in the middle fired 7,500. Jorgensen made the call and Panka folded. The turn was the {J-Diamonds}, making the board a little more spicy and Jorgensen's opponent checked. The Dane fired a bet of 30,000, effectively setting his foe all in but all he received in return was a muck.

An Ace For Jensen

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

We just caught a bit of a hand that involved former EPT Madrid winner Frederik Jensen. The board read {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} when we saw Jensen check-call a bet of 6,400 after which the river was the {7-Diamonds}.

Both players checked and Jensen took down the pot after showing {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

Farrell Equilibrium

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Niall Farrell opened the action for 1,800 from under the gun and Shannon Shorr made the call from the big blind. They both checked the heads-up flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and saw the {q-Hearts} arrive on the turn. Shorr stared at the board quizzically before betting 2,900. Farrell wasn’t convinced and made the call. A river card {k-Diamonds} saw Shorr continue the story with a 5,500 bet and Farrell wasn’t interested to see the final chapter and mucked his hand.

Farrell was back in action on the next hand though, calling a 1,900 open from Leo Nordin. The flop was {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} ad Farrell check-called a 2,100 bet. No more action as the turn brought the {7-Hearts} and the river the {6-Clubs}. Farrell turned over {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the win and to repair the minor damage from the last hand.

Cody Gives One Up

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Thomas Mjeldheim just raised to 1,600 and Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody proceeded to three-bet to 5,400 in position. The action folded back around to Mjeldheim who made the call and the flop rolled out {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

Both players checked and Mjeldheim lead out for 6,000 on the {8-Diamonds} turn card. Cody smiled and threw his cards towards the muck as he will have to find another spot to pick up some chips.
