On one of the last hands before the break we lost another player. High Stakes cash game specialist Niklas Heinecker ended up preflop all in against Timothy Adams for right around 320,000.
Heinecker:
Adams:
The board ran out and Heinecker was knocked out. "Good luck guys, it was nice playing with you," Heinecker said as he exited the tournament. Heinecker played in the big €1,000/€2,000 cash game earlier this week and he said he's hoping the game will restart later today.
Fabian Quoss raised to 45,000 from the small blind and Phil Ivey moved all in from the big blind for 194,000. Quoss called immediately.
Quoss:
Ivey:
The board brought the and Ivey doubled up. Ivey is the only player that reentered twice and that puts him in for €300,000 in this event. In order to profit he needs to finish at least fifth.
It's probably just a coincidence but the play has really slowed on the outer two tables since the payouts were announced and now displayed on a giant screen in the tournament room.
It is interesting to note the potential profit all those still left can make.
Phil Ivey, for example, has re-entered twice and therefore has to make 5th or better to make a profit on the tournament.
The only other players who re-entered were Philipp Gruissem and Fabian Quoss. If they min-cash they will only make a €18,300 profit on a €200,000 investment.
All the other players remaining are only in for one bullet.
There were stunned faces all round as Phil Ivey, the greatest poker player in the world, broke his silence while playing the super high roller, talking openly about, well, something or other, as the PokerStars Blog reports.
